The food was awful quality and very, very overpriced. We ordered the Butter Chicken, Chicken Tikka Masala, and one 20 oz. soda. The total (with tax, but not including tip) was $35! Each of the entrees was $14 for a meal that easily fit in the palm of my hand (for reference, the cross section of onion that you see in the picture is from a small white onion). The rice was dry and flavorless, the sauces were incredibly watery, and there were only 4 pieces of meat in the dish, each no longer than an inch. And the 20 oz. soda was almost $4! ($4 for one soda!) Madison has many excellent Indian restaurants (Swagat, Swad, Amber, etc.) This is absolutely not one of them. I was excited when I learned that there was now an Indian restaurant in the food court, and was expecting mall prices with mall quality. Instead, I received food that was far lower quality than any other restaurant in the mall and at much higher prices. The only people I can recommend this restaurant to are those who have never had Indian food before and can't physically leave the mall to go anywhere else. Edit in response to the owner's false statements: You can go two restaurants down to China Experience and get more food at a higher quality and a much lower price. Or go to Sarku and get more food at a much higher quality for the same price. It's not a "mall space is too expensive" issue. It's a "you are being ripped off by Rama's Foods" issue.

One of the Best Indian Food Spots in Madison! I had such a great experience at Rama’s Food! The person who helped us—I’m guessing the owner—was an incredible host. He went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, even giving us fresh rice and a few extra goodies with our meal. The food was absolutely delicious—authentic, full of flavor, and made with love. Honestly, it’s some of the best Indian food I’ve had in Madison. You can really tell they care about the food and their guests. I’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend! 🙌

I ordered the butter chicken and there was a quarter of an inch of oil on top. I know that amount of oil would make anyone sick. The oil separated through the curry and would not combine. Not only that but for $15 I maybe got a cup and a half of curry to a whole platter of rice. Which doesn’t feel worth the money. I had to reach behind the counter to grab my own utensils and genuinely felt like a bother after ordering. I don’t usually make reviews like this but honestly couldn’t eat it.

I would give 0 stars if I can give , the lady sitting at front don’t work on her quality of food , I glad to see Indian resturant in mall but when buy food it s really disappointing , it s frozen food u can buy easily from grocery store . The food quality is really bad and it s overpriced too according to food quality . Don’t ever waste your money here . Either spend on other Indian restaurants . The lady sitting in front chair serve frozen food and samosas aswell which easily can get from grocery store and u can microwave easily at home . She is playing with people by opening resturant in mall . Don’t ever waste your money here . Totally ridiculous food and quality of food is worst . This resturant is going to close soon if they just serve frozen food and don’t work on their price and food quality . Samosas she served is frozen which u can easily get from...
