First off I would like to thank Jefferson county RV Park for the clean and friendly RV park you have in Madras Oregon. Second I would like to thank Kim the park host she will remember us from space 18 my wife was the artist. The thing that made this experience really nice is that Kim made us feel warm and welcome not just your average check-in. Also I would like to talk about price of the park it is lower than any place you can find I won't say the price but trust me it is very affordable here. I don't know that the RV park wants me to advertise their prices. But let's just say you can stay here for the price of a meal out being Burger King or McDonald's. Also another thing I would like to mention is have you not been here before you are surrounded by stores and neighborhoods so this RV park is not in a secluded area or away from businesses and homes. Overall I would definitely recommend this RV park to my friends and family...
Read moreIt's a basic facility with RV hookups at the county fairgrounds. The property appears well kept. The camping consists of a gravel parking lot adjacent to the fairgrounds surrounded by a fence and also adjacent to a mobile home park. All sites appear to be in direct sun with little to no shade. The sites have picnic tables and a fire grill. The sites have water and electric hookups as well as sewage dump hookups. I paid $30 a night.
The bathhouse was adequate however it would be nice to have more hooks to hang stuff on and perhaps even a small shelf to sit your soap and shampoo on. The water was hot and the pressure was adequate, it served its purpose.
I needed a shower and to charge my various batteries including an EMTB. This place is suitable for that. Bonus, it's riding distance from Madras East hills mountain biking area which I plan to check...
Read moreFor the price we really like this place. We were just stopping thru and needed a one nighter, the online reservation system made booking easy. The entrance to get to the rv park is a bit narrow, but once you're in the park the gravel drive was very wide and easy to maneuver, all of our hookups worked great. Their was a big open field to let our kiddos play in, and the camp host was kind enough to meet us upon arrival and move us to a more shaded spot do to openings. Easy access on and off of HWY 97, lots of good food and coffee in the area. Is it dusty? Well, yes but welcome to central oregon. Again a basic park but it meets all of your needs, not a luxury park but a safe place to spend the night or stay...
