Terrible these guys working counter are jerks. I bet if anyone bothered to take a poll on how they treat customers they would be surprised to know just how they are. I bring my kids here non stop . I have noticed Everytime they are bully's and not to me but to the other customers. I ignored it at first but after few times I mentioned it to the mgr. The next time I came I was going to take my daughter to Barbie and my boys didn't want to go. We ordered our drinks and popcorn then after they got all of them set down they proceeded to tell us my boys and husbands movie was past time we could enter . I told him they don't mind that it had already started. They just don't want to sit in car while we go to ours. He still said no to us and then I told him then we don't need their popcorn or drinks. Just my daughter's and ours. He just looked at me . They can't go so why would I need it. Don't sell us food before telling us no entry. Ugh 😩 so I blew it off said sorry to boys and then another guy said just let them go. He started to argue and then said ok and took my 🤑 money. Duringour movie four guys lined side the wall. You would have thought a bomb was going off. Then one of guys walked over to some people down the way and took their drink . I think a can of soda .....Then they all filed back out of the theatre like vouchers at a bar. Really though so much drama over a soda. One guy could have done it . It was just a kid who didn't need a scene. The cops would have been less obvious. Hiring a bit young and teaching them to be all big and bad . I might have to record...
Read moreOkay let me break it down for you people here. I've been going to this theater off and on again ever since the day it was opened. It's been consistentlly affordable, compared to the borderline-ludicrous costs of places in Bend, etc. Tickets are 6 dollars (matinee price) until around 6pm, when they become 8 dollars. Also there's a Tuesday discount deal still I think. They've always had at least five different movies playing at any given time, which offers plenty of variety. It's also conveniently located on the main highway, next to a decent KFC. The amount of times I've waited eating at KFC, then gone and gotten good seats around 20ish minutes early (although depending on the popularity of the movie, like Star Wars, you'll have to go way earlier) has been a lot. The staff have always agreeable and friendly, and willing to answer questions you may have. The food is a little spendy of course, but not break the bank wise by any means. The popcorn is fresh and buttery, and they have a good variety of candies. All in all, my friends and I have enjoyed this theater many times and it's never too busy, unless It's a premiere night and/or a very popular movie. While it doesn't have the grandiose spectacle of an "Imax" ( fake Imax like in Bend, which they charge insane prices for. If you want Real Imax, go to OMSI in Portland) theater, and yes sometimes it's a little dirty. However it offers a cheap, authentic american moviegoing experience, which I plan to contue to enjoy. Oh also I greatly enjoy the architecture of the place. Very...
Read morePrior to the horrible pandemic, my friends and family very much enjoyed going to the movies in Madras at Madras Cinema 5. The smaller venue, and personal service, along with all of our preferred concessions, make it perfect for us. One of the best parts is the prices! Ticket and concession prices are so much less expensive than any other local theater! As businesses have recently opened back up, we decided to get back to watching movies in our favorite theater so we purchased tickets online. We had a family emergency and found we would not be able to attend the movie we pre-paid for so emailed the customer service address to ask for alternate arrangements. Our email was not only answered within minutes, but with options that worked perfectly for us. We have had a few exchanges with Nate, since the initial inquiry, and have appreciated how accommodating he has been for us. The bigger theaters may offer more viewing options, but for my family, the 5 star customer service will keep us choosing the Madras Cinema 5, despite the fact that we have to drive more than 30 minutes to get there. In this interesting time in our society where customer service has taken a backseat, Madras Cinema 5 goes above and beyond to take care of their customers! And...their popcorn is better than other theaters in Central Oregon! :-)....
