First time leaving a negative review on a restaurant. Haven’t had KFC in a while and after a long day on the road was looking forward to enjoying some fried chicken. I had my mask on, entered the establishment, and waited my turn in line. As I got up to the cashier I began placing my order. As I began ordering (I acknowledge) the mask began to drop and fell under my nose. My fault. She immediately cut me off and told me it needed to be over my nose. It would have been fine if she stopped there, but she decided to take it a step further and took it upon herself to fill me in on the pandemic that we’ve all been living in for the last year. The lecture was over the top and unnecessary. I cut her off and told her I had corrected the issue and the mask was again over my nose, and I would like to proceed with my order. I then tried several more times to give her my order but she kept telling me she couldn’t hear me. (They have large plexi glass shields / sneeze guards in front of the registers). I felt like I kept raising my voice higher and higher and began to feel like she was doing it intentionally. By now I am upset. I asked her if she would be able to hear me if I stepped to the right of the shield, but might risk her safety. She then pointed to her hearing aids and mentioned them. At this point I told her I didn’t want anything and cancelled my order. If you are (1) paralyzed by fear of getting a deadly virus and (2) are in the at risk category .. I’m not sure why you choose to work at an establishment where you will be in contact with the general public. I will not step foot in this...
Read moreNormally we get our Kentucky fried Chicken in Bend Oregon. Today we were visiting Madras Oregon for the weekend. I decided to go in to the Kentucky fried Chicken and I ordered the $20 double mash deal. Everything in the meal was okay except the chicken The chicken batter was not cooked correctly. When I peeled off the batter off of the crispy fried chicken the batter underneath was still raw The chicken itself was cooked which I don't understand but there was a big glob of uncooked breading in that bite. The chicken in Bend Oregon at Kentucky fried Chicken when you receive it it is a dark golden brown every time when I dined at this restaurant in Madras Oregon the chicken had a light brownish color and didn't look right. Also some of the breading was missing on some of the pieces of chicken which tells me it was not prepared right as I've been in the restaurant business most of my life. This was my second visit and my first visit was exactly the same The chicken was not cooked correctly it was well done did not find any blood or anything that would alarm me it was not cooked just the breading was very odd and you couldn't really taste the 11...
Read moreI went thru the drive thru on my way to Washington. I ordered a 3 pc chicken strip meal with mashed potatoes and gravy. The chicken strips were so dried out and hard I was not able to eat them. I decided if they were going to serve me such obviously poor quality chicken it would be in my best interest to discard the entire meal, as I could not be sure if the potatoes were safe or not. My chihuahua ate one of the chicken strips and had a terribly upset stomach the remainder of the night. I won't go into detail. What I do know is if my dog got this sick, I imagine I would have gotten much sicker if I would have eaten the chicken. Thank goodness it was literally to hard for me to bite. Will definitely never return to this KFC nor would I recommend anyone else...
