Ive ben coming to this practice almost 15 yrs straight, my main dr being dr melenzita before he left, Over the years the practice has detoriated, Ive dealt with front desk being extremely rude to me, dorothy fighting me over small things such as purchasing bags of saline and giving me addition needle connections for my kitty that has kidney failure in my experience from the beginning the staff prior and Dr had no issues with helping me and yes i always paid, The front desk woman was always bipolar one day she is very nice the next extremely rude, the sad part is ive seen this woman almost 10yrs as their receptionist among all that have come an go, her behavior never improved as ive mentioned above she fought me over purchasing little things and didnt allow it.Ive made appointments showed up and they claimed it was for the day prior even though i double checked and they were wrong. Ive made and appointment showed up and have ben made to wait almost two hrs, Never in the history of me being at this practice have i ever dealth with this, And the whole time dorothy kept rolling her eyes ignoring me and showed no courtesy to let me know until i finally brought it up and she said sorry about that we can reschedule if u want, So i have two hrs of my time wasted she sat there while my kitty cried peed all over the carrier that was having bladder issues and everything and just told us to leave, before i left there was an elderly woman that came in they claimed she was suppose to come in days ago and she stated she drove a long way with her dog, and its the correct date. Not only did she turn away the woman.as she walked out, her and another new caucasian woman laughed saying "haha who does she think she is, she better come back another time haha " it was very insensative considering the woman was disabled and struggling to walk and talk , her attitude is that of a bully someone that u can tell is just bitter.Next off due to their messup with the appointment the dr gets angry an will refuse to see my dog, no one at their facility ever takes responisbilty for their actions, over the years, the amazing employees such as mike, David and others I do not see there anymore but as for front desk is horrible, I made and appointment for my pet and less than 12 hrs later called to tell them my dog passed away i wont be coming in for his appointment they then fought me to tell me theres a no show fee then, like are u serious do i need to bring in a deceased dog?!?! Its is absolutely atrocious the way they treat people at this practice, after being here for almost 15 yrs these people should be ASHAMED, considering ive spent literally thousands on thousands of dollars at least 35k or more over the time span, after so long at this practice i have zero intention of going back here, Its it hostile angry, Their past employee courtney also was extrmely beyond mean rude and always hung up on u or made problems, I pleaded with her my cat was very ill please allow and appintment witin a week at least she told me its not her problem i need to wait almost two weeks, the level of being so insensative was shocking, The cat died a day before the appointment and i called and told her and she said " ok not my problem what else u want", and Dorothy the hispanic woman, should have never ben working there, Why do u treat your patients like this expecially thoses that are extremely loyal to your practice? I will never know just utterly sad, I will also be reaching out to adkins and letting him know, U would think these people would know better how to treat patients, Ive sure the other multiple practice ran by him they dont pull...
Read moreStill unsure of this place. (real-time update - comments started Aug 31st) -- Cat in 2nd day of monitoring...
My mom took her cat there for a blockage. LOTS of money and 2nd day after surgery (advised/monitor time is 3 days so the cat is staying there). The staff was supposed to do bloodwork today bc it's in-house (2nd day) and takes about an hr. Both the tech (spoke to my mom in person) and person on the phone (spoke to me) said it was going to be done bc again it's in house and should only take an hr. I waited and WE HAD TO CALL BACK and now they are telling me they are going to do it tomorrow instead as we were a bit stressed waiting for the results due to the circumstance/urgency of the situation. They chalked it up to a misunderstanding? I feel like now that we paid, they pushed this to the back of the line after they suggested the blood work should be done. Let's see bc I ALREADY paid ALL the services AND my mother is crying bc the bloodwork was suggested due to the circumstance. She's worried that kidney function is good. I confirmed 2xs and they said tomorrow morning. ----- I sure hope there is NOTHING wrong so that the blood work they missed could have helped catch something earlier. :(
So far, I've paid a substantial amount of money but feel the service so far is being under-delivered. I'm concerned for the cat right now and hope there's some peace of mind very soon. Depending on the results I may change the rating...
4th day - Sept 3rd - writing this... I wanted to ensure my mom got her cat first...
On the 3rd day, Sept 3rd, my mom called early in the morning and they stated the blood work was not done so she drove over there. According to her the doctor asked why she was there and she said bc she called in the morning and the staff told her the blood work wasn't done. ----- He said it was done at 10 am and things were said and words were exchanged. My mom told me some - not very nice things were said to her. I will not mention it here, but let me just say some things didn't need to be said. It kind of made me sad really. It made me think a lot and just how standards are different nowadays. (I genuinely just kept telling my mom through all this not to worry about what was exchanged. We paid for it and let's just wait to get the cat back.)
Despite everything, the well-being of the cat was not overlooked so I am thankful and happy for that.
Overall, I am keeping my rating. I wasn't present through all of this conflict and the cat came out feeling pretty good. I will thank God for this intervention as prayers were met.
I will suggest we try my clinic I take my animals to first. Had other functions not been well, the 'in-house' blood work that was not done in a timely manner, could have been detrimental to catching anything else in time after the surgical procedure. The 3rd day may have...
Read moreMy pet is a regular patient at this Veterinary Clinic for approximately 2 years now without any issues and actually great service. Until recently they've hired a "Manager" by the name of Dorothy whom is conducting dishonest practices and essentially is causing possible liabilities for this business. I was advised last year May 2022 that my dog needed to get his annual exam, rabies vaccine and heartworm tests to be issues his medication. I complied with their recommendation without issues. Approaching the 6 month mark on his medication it needed to be refilled. I contacted their office to obtain his meds and they advised me I need to enter for a heartworm test again before I was able to receive his medication. I expressed to the Manager Dorothy I was advised he would have take that exam at during his visit May 2022. She advised me that an exam was not done and that he needed to take any exam before being able to receive the medication. She advised me that his last heartwarm test was expired. I took my dog for his exam in January 2024 and was charged for the exam, a prescription fee and for medication then advised to return in May 2024 for his annual exam. The veterinary office did not has his medication available at the time and was advised to go online to purchase the meds and they would approve the rx. I did so as Dorothy advised to be ultimately denied the medications because I was requesting a year prescription. I contacted dorothy 1/25/24 to express my concerns and she advised me. Yes, the heartworm exam is valid for 12 months but she could only approve me for 4 months of medication because they annual exam was needed in may. I expressed to her that the medication could only be alloted in 6-12 month increments and did have the ability to purchase individual meds. Additionally, I was charged for a RX fee for them to provide to the online pharmacy which they didn't and additionally didn't receive the medication I was charged for. I expressed to Dorothy that previously I've been provided medications in 6-12 month increments without issues when I purchase directly from their office. Dorothy was very bothered with my rebuttal and stated "this is a new policy", I requested to see the policy which she declined. I asked to speak with another manager which she declined. And ultimately she declined my pets medication even though I had been charged for the service, RX script and medication but did not receive the service rendered. I'd...
