Thinking of getting The Acre as your venue? Think again. First thing to note is the Acre does not give refunds in any manner- doesn’t matter if you’ve paid 99% of your bill and someone dies so you cancel your wedding. You’ve just wasted close to $8,000. I had the acre booked for 2021–we paid a $1000.00 down payment in July and then paid an additional 1,000.00 in July despite both my fiancé and I having lost our jobs due to covid and despite us being in complete financial struggle due to my fiancé needing an emergency total hysterectomy in April 2020. Our financial struggle got worse as only one of us was receiving unemployment at the time so I reached out to Shannon to ask if I can pay the remaining 340-360 at the end of September (it was originally due the end of August). Shannon, over the phone, said “that’s fine! No problem”. Here comes the problem that lead us to change venues! I contacted my coordinator to have them set up a date change because we want covid to truly be over before we celebrate our wedding. She contacted Shannon and Shannon told her the change fee was $250.00 and that she (Shannon) would reach out to us about it before the end of August. Well, weeks rolled by then I recieve an email from Shannon at MIDNIGHT saying that she is no longer holding my date because I have not paid her. KEEP IN MIND THAT SHE TOLD MY COORDINATOR SHE WOULD REACH OUT TO ME TO FINALIZE THE CHANGE. I told Shannon that the fee as I was told was only $250.00- she then FOUGHT with me AT MIDNIGHT saying she never told my coordinator the fee was 250 but actually told her the fee was &1,250 and also never told me I could pay my fees at the end of September. I immediately sent her the screenshots of my coordinators conversation. Shannon yet again FOUGHT WITH ME AT MIDNIGHT. How unprofessional! Why are you fighting with your clients at midnight!!! I was so fed up by how Shannon was talking to me and it changed how the acre felt. We no longer wanted to be married there. The communication is horrible. A WEEK AND A HALF LATER Shannon emails me and says “oh I’m sorry, I went back into my email and realize that I did tell her the fee was $250.00- I’ll honor that” WELL ITS TOO LATE. Shannon ruined our view of the acre forever and we changed venues to the Balcony Orlando. Shannon is unprofessional and rude. IF she had taken TWO MINUTES to look into her email before FIGHTING WITH ME AT MIDNIGHT then this all would have been cleared. But obviously Shannon’s pride means more than a happy client, so she instead decided it was a good idea to email me multiple times telling me that my coordinators were liars and I was lieing. At the end of the day, we lost close to $2,000 because they don’t do refunds AT ALL even though this was 100% SHANNONS FAULT. It’s amazing how businesses like these still exist? How can you treat your clientele like that when we planned on paying you well over $5,000 for 8 hours on your property! Which btw this property is right off a busy road so if you want the potential of hearing sirens while getting married then go here (; don’t let the pretty photos fool you. It’s DEAD CENTER in The middle of a neighborhood (which ALL the neighbors hate having them there.) so if you like the idea of your wedding being potentially ruined by rude staff, neighbors calling the police because you’re too loud or love hearing cars rolls by as you say your vows then the acre is for you (; they’ll drain you of all your money while offering the absolute...

We get it. This property is gorgeous. But the customer service and magical wedding feelings couldn't be much worse. If you want to get married and have a stress free wedding week, this is not the spot for you.

There used to be a coordinator who was wonderful to work with. She has since left and has been replaced by a coordinator who has zero answers to questions and doesn't seem to be able to get anything done. Then there is the owner, Shannon. She has no business being in an event business. Certainly not in the WEDDING business. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would be in a yelling match with the owner of my wedding venue two days before our wedding day. With the pandemic we had to downsize our wedding from 150 people down to 65. This did not bring us any savings or advantage. When we wanted to have chairs set out for our ceremony and reception, so that we could be as safe as possible, we were told that would be an extra charge, because she assumed we only paid for 65 chairs. How could the owner not review our contract before making such a statement. Her suggestion was for OUR GUESTS to move their own chairs from the ceremony to the reception.  Apparently all the labor is supposed to fall on the customers. I have no problem with difficult conversations, but I can not belive she would yell over us and not let us speak. Talk about terrible customer service! And we had been trying to figure this out for weeks, but kept getting voicemails with no call backs. Or just straight up run arounds.

But like we said this place is gorgeous. The THIRD PARTY vendors that we worked with were incredible. We picked our own photographer and caterer and were really happy with them. And the staff The Acre had the day of were lovely.

But when all is said and done, we went 30 minutes over and the Acre sent us a cold matter of fact email with a credit card authorization form for the extra hour!

Not only did we not get a discount from cutting our wedding in half, but Shannon did everything she could to try to make our wedding miserable. I really hope she sells this property soon because this beautiful properly should not be guarded by someone who cares so little about making someone’s wedding day their...

I don’t write negative reviews. But this one is necessary. The customer service is absolutely terrible. I booked this venue 18 months out from my wedding. Everything was fine until about a month before. I did my venue walkthrough and was told I could use their tables and that we could get there whenever to start setting up since there wasn’t an event in the morning. I have written proof of this. After my walkthrough, the person I did my walkthrough with quit and didn’t tell me. I emailed him multiple times after without response. My FLORIST had to me the one to tell me he quit. Then I began working with Ilana again and then she quit. The new girl did not actually email me back until the Wednesday before my wedding and tried to go back on everything I was promised. Then we have Shannon. She absolutely should find a new industry. I have never been treated with such disrespect in my life. Once I finally got ahold of her and asked her about these things, her exact response was “why would I know that”! Maybe because you’re the operations manager!! I ended up having to pay an extra $300 to arrive an hour before our plan, even though I was told it would be free to arrive whenever we wanted. I did get my table usage free because I was told at my walkthrough to cancel the tables I rented.

I also had to get tents last minute due to rain. Well I was told everything was good to go by Acacia only for my tent people to arrive on the day of and be told they could not put a tent in the ceremony area even though I was EXPLICITLY told I could put a tent there. So that cost me $650 that I can’t get back.

On the day of, the owner was incredibly apologetic stating he really just owns the property but isn’t involved with the business side. Well, that’s very apparent because this place is incredibly mismanaged.

also we arranged a phone call with him after to discuss all of this. I waited to post this review until after this conversation because I wanted to give him a chance. Well we were basically told sorry you got incorrect information but too bad

It was beautiful the day of, but not worth...

I’m the events director of UCF Kappa Kappa Gamma and I worked with Hannah Bollinger on our Kappa Krush event and everything was perfect from planning it to the actual event itself!!! Hannah and the Acre were both so accommodating and provided such a fun memorable night for my sorority. There were so many things to do like watch a movie on the lawn, play cornhole, make s’mores by 2 fires, card games, pinball, and pool!! There was also so much space for everyone to roam around and enjoy their time! The Acre is such a beautiful and breathtaking venue that there’s not one area that doesn’t make your jaw drop from how cute and gorgeous it is. There’s even a koi pond that the guests were in awe of the entire night! There were 3 cute bars including a white little tequila truck that the guests were so excited about. The venue is like a “but wait, there’s more” moment. There are just so many picture spots you couldn’t even imagine!!! I loved the greenery, ambient lighting, decor, everything!! The atmosphere was overall 10/10 so amazing!! I can’t stress enough how beautiful this venue truly is and how amazing everyone was to our guests!! The planning process was so fun and Hannah Bollinger was wonderful to work with and did a fantastic job! The entire Acre Team was amazing, welcoming and so nice to our guests! Everyone including myself think that is has been the best venue we’ve ever been too and even girls who are graduating said that The Acre was the best venue they’ve been to in their time in Kappa. If you’re looking for a fun and unique venue, the Acre is the way to go!!

My fiancé Joe and I got married on 3-1-2020 at the Acre in Orlando Florida. I myself am a wedding photographer and I knew from the first time I set foot on the property that it could be where I would say I do myself. I had always seen incredible photos with the ivy and was curious about the space. I finally was able to shoot a wedding there in 2018 and fell in love instantly. It is such a hidden oasis in College Park. I went to UCF and my best friend and bridesmaid actually has lived down the street for years! I loved the secluded feeling and all of the greenery. The ivy is my favorite and it is plentiful. There is also incredible cacti and tons of market lighting. When Joe and I got engaged we quickly went from the idea of a destination elopement to having a local celebration with all of our family and friends. The Acre was really only place I considered. We went up for their open house and I was so glad that he and my family also fell for it! They were very open and flexible to work with. We were able to do site visits with our vendors all leading up. In the weeks before they were transparent about dome damage to the foliage after a wind storm and did their very best to fix it up. Our guests were blow away and loved all of the different spaces. The bon fire was especially perfect since it was a cooler evening. The only thing I would change is the ability to end later than 10pm. Unfortunately our date was also a Sunday so we had to wrap up by 10. We could have danced under the stars all night!

People need to know that this establishment lacks any emergency protocols, first aid kits, responsible managers on duty, or ethical/moral standards to handle situations effectively. They are a Pet Friendly Park with no idea how to manage the business. My son was bitten by a dog owned by one of their veterinarian customers. Long story short, when I called the police to request an incident report, they instructed me and the dog’s owner “a veterinarian “ to leave the premises, by the guy on the photo it’s supposed to be a “cooker” showing a blatant disregard for the situation. The owners of this place was there laughing about it and don’t mind it at all. Despite this, they provided me with an incident report containing false information, and the dog's owner disappeared the moment I mentioned calling the police. No action was taken and were instructed to went outside. In fact, the dog, a golden retriever, displayed aggression with a visible muscle tension in its mouth, posing a danger to all the children playing nearby. They claimed my son was unsupervised, but we witnessed the entire incident firsthand as we were present at the time. Something suspicious is going on in this place. I hope Animal Control holds them accountable for their actions. Thankfully, my son is okay."
