BEWARE: We ordered a wedding band, however, when it arrived, it was not what we expected so we never even took the band. We selected a different band from the store selections, which was lower in price. The return amount was supposed to go back to our original form of payment, which was a Zales credit card, however, it went back to an account which has been closed for more than 5 1/2 years, and has not been used since. It has been 3 months, extensive phone calls, messages and attempts to get back our money. We have been told by various employees from store level to corporate level that we would get the money back, along with interest and any fees, however, we have yet to settle this matter. This has been very frustrating for us. We are incurring interest on the amount, and would like to pay this card off asap, and will no longer do business with Zales due to this situation. At this point, we feel we are "annoying" everyone by trying to get money which is obviously due to us as a result of the store error. We also were not told of a $34.99 purchase fee or monthly fees on our credit card. In fact, we were told that it would be no interest for 12 months, which it is not (outright not truthful when they opened this card right in front of us, and telling us it would be no interest), it certainly has interest monthly, and we have been unable to resolve this frustrating situation. Very disappointed, and the store seems to not want to assist us any further, telling us corporate is involved, etc...just a complete runaround with no resolution. We are contemplating small claims court, as well as getting the media involved and/or an investigative media outlet as this is unacceptable at this point. Very fraudulent to verbally tell us there would be no interest on the card, then to have monthly fees, as well as not get our money back for an item we never even took out of the store. In February I brought it back noticing the same prong seemed to have an issue, he found another prong that was busted and upon further look understood what I was talking about. He said that due to how busy they were he would send the ring to their off site company who would be faster and have it back within the week so I wouldn't have to wait. I called every week for almost 3 weeks and there was no ring. Finally the woman manager stated that the system stated it was in but they could not find it and she would have to call me back as they were busy. I got the called they had found it, went into the store only to find out the prong I had pointed out to the male manager was not fixed. This woman manager could not see it but her coworker saw what I was talking about. They had to send it out again. I explained my frustration and she said she would have the male manager call me the next day. I never received a phone call. I called and they said they would have to call me back as it was busy, the next day he was not working apparently. My ring came in and the prongs were now so large that isn't looked odd but I didn't say anything. I did however mention to the person who was working that the center diamond was lifted and I could see the bottom of it. I questioned if that would affect the stability of the diamond, she said no because they had secured the prongs. This morning, I looked at my ring to find that the center diamond was missing. It was in fact there yesterday bc all I did was stare at my rings during a convention I was at. I am extremely livid and so frustrated with this company.
