Tl;dr - Big Stick is a great establishment for a cigar and a drink, either alone or with the buddies. Respectable selection of cigars, drinks, and seating.
I stopped by this place one hot August afternoon in need of a break. My brothers and I were in town and this was a perfect place to reunite. The business is a labor of love, and it shows. The storefront is inconspicuous, but the interior is very cozy. A beautiful bar runs the length of the interior, and the rest of the space is filled with various seating, including tables and cushy couches. The humidor is respectable and filled with quality sticks, big and small. There is also a nice little selection of house blend pipe tobacco. The bar is also respectably stocked, and I was to understand that the selection would be more diverse in the future. Where Big Stick really shines was the service. I realize that service can change from employee to employee, but Josette, who was behind the counter when we walked in, greeted me and everyone else who walked in like we were all old friends. She accompanied us into the humidor and went over dang near every single option she had to offer in stock. Her service was unparalleled both in the humidor and behind the bar. She loves her job and it shows.
Overall it was a great experience, and of the many cigar lounges I've been to, this one has some of the best service I've ever had. Definitely worth visiting if you...
Read moreIf you’re all about cigars this is the place for you. If you’re looking for a good cocktail however I don’t think I can recommend the place. Buying a cigar was a nice and easy process with a huge and well stocked humidor. Drinks in my opinion weren’t on par with some of the other bars in the neighborhood. My wife ordered a cosmopolitan and the pour was simply well it was odd. Seemed as though they used the alcoholic ingredients but forgot the mixer. When we asked the bartender they replied that they have absolutely huge glasses. I’m no scientist but these sure looked and felt like a normal martini glass so we took a picture of the drink before my wife had tasted it. (High noon can for scale) either way we quickly finished our drinks paid and left. I was really looking forward to this place but I guess it’s...
Read moreI have alway been a supporter to letting cigar lounges open in North Dakota. When I heard this place was allowed to open as a cigar lounge I made a special trip back to my hometown to check it out. The owner is a nice knowledgeable lady and has a wide range of excellent cigar choices. The atmosphere was fun and inviting. The place did not smell bad of cigar smoke like some other lounges I have been to and my wife loved that. She does not smoke but likes to come with me. I highly recommended any cigar smoker to come check this place out as they will leave satisfied and a...
