I was talked about by an employee as I was paying for my books. An employee figured it was ok to discuss my clothing with someone else in the store. I wasn’t the only person she talked about while I was there. She also spoke badly about another woman (when I first walked in). It is a small store, but I heard it while I was at the back of the store. If you feel you must speak badly about people do so a bit more quietly or on your own time. It’s rude and it shows how insecure you are as a woman if the only thing you can do with your time is rip other women apart. In all honesty she was the only person I heard talking about me, the man she was talking with either was just listening to her vent or he had the decency to speak in a tone that is meant for private conversation. Read moreIf you purchase an eBook, it's non-refundable and you can only get an .acsm file that you need to have Adobe Digital Editions to read. They don't tell you this ahead of time. Keeping all my books in one place in kindle helps me keep up with reading assignments since I have multiple books per class, but now I have a whole new app to read one book.
Haven't had any issues with BAM before this, but it's really frustrating to buy a textbook priced textbook and have it feel so inaccessible. I shouldn't need to do research on how to use a niche digital file and have a specific app for one textbook. Read moreI ordered a book in July that was scheduled to ship before the end of August. By the end of September, I still had not received my book. I checked the order status online, which stated the same status "Pending" since the day I ordered it back in July. After contacting Customer Service, I was told I cannot cancel the order because it is "Pending" (even though it has been pending for 2 months), and that there is no limit to how long the item can be pending. I could be waiting indefinitely for my order with no means of canceling it. This is something I would expect if I were ordering from China, not from a bookstore within the US.
