Half Price Books — Local services in Mansfield

The store has a remarkable selection of literary treasures. Everytime I have stopped by here the staff is always friendly, polite and very willing to help -- but they also know and respectfully stay out of your way and allow you to explore & browse their selection. There is plenty of reading to offer on any particular topic that suits your interests, they also have a terrific kids section to explore books and the store also carries video and board games, toys, dvds and music among other items. Half Price Books is my favorite book store. I've found tremendous books here at value prices, they sell New and Used products here. You cannot go wrong with this place! There is plenty of parking and some handicap parking and the store is very clean and well maintained, the store is also wheelchair accessible and they do have public restrooms. The only thing I do not like really is selling to them because I feel I don't get my money worth out of the products I sell to them but like most I sell them anyway to get them out of my space lol. Overall this is a great store and I love it and will continue...

So I was asked to officiate a wedding. It was my first time, so I needed a bible as a prop. It was two hours before the wedding and I was in a hurry. I stopped into this half priced books to pick one up. Staff was helpful when I told them my situation. Nice selection, with some well worn ones, which is what I wanted. Got it half price, but then they gave me half price on top of that, so it was really quarter price!! Since I wasn't going to take it on my flight home, I gave it to the bride so it could have a forever home, and now it's in the hands of someone who will cherish it forever.

Bonus that the price stickers they use at half price books comes off easily, so props to them for not making it hard to get that sticker off before...

Good for shopping but HORRIBLE for selling your books. This Half Price Books pays a miniscule amount for popular, hardcover books. I did better selling 4 hardcover Diary of A Wimpy Kid books at the Cedar Hill location, and better selling one Texas Teacher's Math Test Prep Manual at the Dallas Preston location than I did selling three dozen books at this location. I wish I wasn't so tired and carried all those books out of there after waiting around for the analysis. I should have donated them to Goodwill or driven them across town for a better price. Average price less than 50 cents a book. ...
