If you are willing to sacrifice integrity, professionalism, and customer service for a couple dollars, this is your place. I would never give this “business” my time, money, or recommendation again. In June of ’18 I shopped Canales online for 2 nightstands totaling around $230 total. Upon checking out I noticed they were charging $80 for delivery and $80 for installation. Why would I spend an additional 70% of my purchase for this? I called the Mansfield Canales location and spoke with a lady who told me to come into the store and I would get a “deal” on delivery/installation.
After I left the store, I called to get the names of the employees I dealt with. The manager gave me Rudolf’s (supervisor) number who I called right away and explained this whole situation. He was extremely polite, apologized profusely for my negative experience, expressed how embarrassed he was and offered to make this right. He asked if I could come to the Ft. Worth location where he would be working for the next few days and he would stand behind the $0 delivery I was promised and he would give me EMPLOYEE DISCOUNT (never gave me a percentage) on the nightstands and would “take care of me”. I was not to worry. 2 days later, my mother and I drive 35 minutes to meet Rudolf at the Ft. Worth location. He again apologized about my negative experience in Mansfield. As he rung me up, he made no mention of the discount promised over the phone. I reminded him that I was told $0 for delivery as well as the employee discount. His paused and said he would give me 5% off. I was like, “oh is that all your employees get?” He then said he would give my mom 5% off a future purchase, saying, “Don’t you want your mom to have a discount?” I was confused and getting more frustrated, as the initially pleasant manager was now turning into a scam artist. He seemed irritated and said I could take it or leave it and that he would NOT go lower than that, as the item was already discounted from the manufacturer’s price. He then said he would take 30% off the SUGGESTED RETAIL price of the item, which was $80 more than the advertised price? I’m like huh? Are you not going to stand by what you said over the phone? His body language started to change, he became argumentative as he said I was raising my voice and this would not be tolerated. His mouth started quivering as if he could have started to lose his temper at any moment. He then turned to my mother to reason his excuses. I told him she was not the one purchasing the items, to which he responded, “No, but she is the more comprehensive one”. At this point, I toid him I understood why the ratings were avg. 1 star and I left. I would have easily purchased the nightstands with no discount had I not been tricked into coming to the store. Read moreI usually read reviews before purchasing an item so was kind of iffy about ordering from this shop.We however loved a discontinued dining set from their site .Sales associate J.O from MANSFIELD TX location went out of his way to find,sell & set up delivery .He even honored the price matching of this item that we had seen from another website. Then the nightmare began .We wasted the whole day at home awaiting the delivery on the designated day .Nobody from the store had called so we called the store and found out that they did not even have an idea that they were to come to our house . There was outstanding order of 2 chairs that they stated would be available at a later date .What suprised me is that I the customer was constantly chasing them on the phone to find out when the chairs would be in . Come June 2023 as directed ,I again called the store and was told that the chairs were available at their warehouse where I was to go pick them up .I asked them to bring them to the Mansfield TX location where it would be easier to pick up as I had to bring my mum to various medical appointments and was short on time .Again it was I the customer constantly following up on where/ when the chairs were .Nobody had bothered to call . I was unable to pick up on the scheduled Sunday and so arrived at the store on the following Monday to find out that the chairs were never brought from the warehouse.The manager (assumed since he wore a black outfit different from the rest of the employees each time I visited the store ) then proceeded to tell me that it had rained and hence deliveries were backed up .I then proceeded to ask him about why nobody had bothered to call and inform me all along about this and had waited till I got to the store .I expressed my displeasure on having to always call them about an order with no effort on their part .He did not appear in the least bothered, was very patronizing and began to argue back and forth with me and making me appear as if it was my fault and responsibility to find out about my order.The original sales associate J.O was watching all this happen .As I walked out the store and said I would write a review, he even said that he thought his sales associate J.O would need a positive review on their service implying that he was not in the least bothered . Read moreI got a great deal on a vanity/mirror set for half the price of others. Roxana did very well making everything easy. She was able to assist me with measurements and helped me get approved for credit. I got free delivery and it comes in time for my daughters birthday.
Unfortunately I have to change my review. I was mislead and let down. I did not get the vanity in time for my birthday. I feel that I was blown off. I called and try to confirm delivery changes 2 days in a row. I understand dealing with an upset customer is not the greatest, but I would expect some idea of what could be done to make things right. Just more disappointed because I came up with the solution and was left hanging, not even knowing if the order was still going through. I left voicemail and messages for Roxana. I was either hung up on, told she was with a customer, or told she was on lunch break at 3:19 pm. Even though I left a message, she did not respond. I called back again today and fortunately Stephanie was able to assist me. She took my information and moments later she called me back to inform me that she spoke with the buyer and would be able to get it in sooner. She is the reason I keep the 5 star review. I’ll give kudos to Stephanie being optimistic that everything works out.
