Dollar General — Local services in Manteno

Not totally happy with this particular Dollar General. It's usually very messy with large carts full of inventory parked throughout the store. I spend too much time wandering around looking for items I've purchased in the past, only to find them moved (again) or not there at all. The focus seems to be on "seasonal" items and regular stock nill. The Clearance area is always a mess, disorganized and most of the items aren't even marked. Also discontinued items that are regularly priced are mixed in with the clearance items and you have no idea what the price really is until you go to check out. You think you have something marked down only to find out that it's not. Also the prices are getting higher and higher. Not so much a "dollar in general" type store anymore. Love the store because the prices are good you cannot eat cleaning supplies or Paper Supply prices anywhere else. Again you have to watch prices on other items that you not totally familiar with but on the whole of they save you a lot of money. The only complaint I have about Dollar General is that they're never fully stocked and there's always stack boxes in the aisles that have not been put away and sometimes they're there for a couple of days. I know that because I go to Dollar General quite often. The help on any given day will be from excellent to they don't give a damn depending who's working. I highly encourage you not to deal with this place, Carrie the manager amazes me how she has a job, she ruined my daughters birthday because I chose this location as a holding facility for FedEx and FedEx told me my package is there , it's been there since 02/22/24 and I must've called 20 times to see if it's there and every time she insisted it's not, I begged her to help me because it was a surprise birthday gift for my daughter, finally today the FedEx driver went to the store and pointed out the package on the counter, that's 4 days later, she ruined the party yesterday for me...
