I was looking online at beds for my daughter we found one that she liked but it didn’t give us an estimate of when it would be delivered when ordering online so I called to see if they knew. The salesman I talked to said that it would be 6-8 weeks if I ordered online but 2-4 weeks if I ordered directly from him. So I ordered it over the phone. 4 weeks pass I call and they say it will be another few weeks and that it was a special order and they take 6-8 weeks. I told the lady I talked to that I wasn’t happy that the original salesman lied to me about the time it would take. But here we are half way through it, so I wait a few more weeks and call again and they said they have part of it and the last of it was coming in 2 days. 5 days pass and they were supposed to call when it got in and still no call. So I call again, the guy who answered said he needs a couple minutes to close out an order and he would call me right back. Well here we are an hour later, and guess what? No call back! I’m done with slumberland and this purchase is seriously making me jumping ship with slumberland all together! If it was going to be 6-8 weeks either way and the original sales guy said hey I can help you with the purchase I would have been completely fine with it and given him some business especially with everything being closed for 7 weeks due to covid. But no he had to go and lie about it and now I feel deceived and like I they don’t care because they already made their money. And I have yet to even hear from the original sales guy who said he would call me a week or 2 after ordering and give me an update.
Update: I was going to leave names out but now I’m beyond mad. I called them back Dylan who said he would call me back in a few minutes answered again and then told me it’s now looking like first week of August. Told him I was frustrated with all the bs he hung up on me. I called back and Steve, who I ordered the bed from answered, I asked for a manager he said he was the manager and straight up told me Dylan didn’t hang up on me no one was on the line. And it straight up happened. But he told me that they don’t hang up on people. Well it’s just more lies. And Steve told me mid August when the rest of the bed will be in. Yeah, they can’t even be on the same page!
Final update- we finally got the bed delivered on September 4th (13 weeks after we ordered) The guys who delivered and set it up were great and super nice and showed up on time, it was the only good experience I had over this purchase. I will say after I talked to Steve after being hung up on he did call once with an update and sent one email with another update. Still will never recommend this...
Read moreI was the ONLY customer in the store. 4 people behind desk. None seemed to eager to help. I ended up purchasing 2 bed pillows. I was given 2 forms at the desk to sign... one saying that i paid, the other saying that i was picking up the items today. One pillow was in a box, so i opened the box at the desk with all 4 employees sitting or standing right there. I know at least 3 of them saw me take the pillow out of the box, including the "manager". The other pillow was in a zipper bag, without an inner wrapper. I unzipped that and took the pillow out also. That pillow didn't feel as plump as the floor model, so i asked if i could get a different one from the back room, as he said there were 2 back there. He said no, because now that i opened the zipper they couldn't take it back. It would become a clearance item and i would need to pay full price for the next one again. Unbelievable!! They WATCHED me take the pillow out at the front desk... and not one of the 4 thought to mention this policy while i was standing there waiting for the paperwork?! HORRIBLE customer service!! I will never step foot in another Slumberland...
Read moreSorry Slumberland but you are going to take the hit for selling me an extended warranty from a company that will not respond to claims filed for repair/replacement. I submitted a claim via email in September. After a few weeks I didn't hear anything so I tried the online consumer portal for Montage and there was no record of my claim so I resubmitted through the portal. A week later I checked again and saw that my emailed claim had finally been logged and combined with the online claim I made. I've asked for an update via the portal but have not received one. Its been nearly 3 MONTHS and nothing has been done with my claim. IF YOU ARE READING THIS, DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON A SLUMBERLAND EXTENDED WARRANTY.
Also, before I filed my claim with Montage, I tried calling Slumberland's customer service for assistance. It took many attempts over a two week period- I called multiple times and endlessly waited in the call que and never had the call answered. I left messages which were never returned.
