My wife and I had an amazing experience with John from Maplewood Mattress. I was incredibly overwhelmed with finding the right mattress and spent far too long researching. After all my research I came to the conclusion that 99.9% of large mattress companies and online stores are selling a poor product at insanely high mark-ups that will likely deteriorate in a few years. I finally happened upon Maplewood Mattress and was instantly impressed with the honesty, fairness, and overall kindness of John. He made no attempts to upsell us, gave us time to try out the mattresses, and even talked us out of spending more than we needed too. I also learned that all of John's mattresses are designed to be flipped once a year, which greatly increases the life-span of the mattress. After sleeping on the mattress for 2 months I can honestly say that this mattress is the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on and it has eliminated my back and shoulder pain. For reference, we ended up purchasing the Shaffer king set and I cannot speak highly enough about how comfortable this mattress is. To top it all off, John made us a custom crib bed for our newborn and she loves it! I am sure we have gained many hours of extra sleep because our little one sleeps like a log in her Maplewood Mattress. I was shopping for a memory foam mattress back in the early summer. After stopping in at all the big shops, I stopped in and test out their mattresses. I was amazed to find they build all their mattresses by hand and on sight (the owner gave me a tour of the entire facility). I tested out the mattresses and I was very impressed with the quality and feel. The prices were more than competitive, roughly $200-400 less than what I feel was equitable model of a "nation-wide" brand. I wanted to wait several months before reviewing the mattress. I have to admit I am incredibly pleased. Never have I slept better. The quality and look of the mattress is equal if not superior to mid-range/lower-highend range memory foam mattresses.
