Rick was able to repair my 1976 Sony Elcaset EL-5 cassette deck. I bought the deck online, and it was in good condition, but the tape transport was not moving. I was rather disappointed, and given the age of the deck, I was not very hopeful; after all, none of the audio equipment that I owned in the 80’s survived after breakdown, and all ended up being thrown away.

I started searching for repair shops specializing in vintage audio equipment, and was even pondering going to upstate New York and to Pennsylvania, but luckily I found mention of Rick's shop; he took on the repair without making grand promises, and he completed the repairs within days.

The deck now works like new and sounds amazing. The cost of the repair was much less than what I expected to pay, and I would say that it was quite modest actually, given that I now have a working 46 year-old electro-mechanical piece of equipment.

I brought in my fathers receiver in January for a simple going thru as some of the controls had static. I went back two weeks later to pick up and pay and once I got it home it had no functions working at all (other than powering on and making an awful distorted noise when plugged into speakers). I brought it back the following week and had zero communication from then until June. Anytime I reached out I was told “give me three more days”. And that repeated until June when I decided to just take a loss and go pick it up in whatever condition it was in. He had it ready once I got there and once I got it home it seems to work fine. Amazing service on the phone : proactive, very specific, warm, helpful and caring. What else can you ask for? Listen to this : I call One Stop, the very nice gentleman tells me that they unfortunately don't repair TV any more (because nowadays spare parts are too difficult to find, not because they can't do it)... But he still takes a few minutes to try to help to find out what the problem could be, and where to call to find a solution. Truly amazing service!!! Next time I have an appliance to be fixed I will go straight to One Stop repair...
