DeHart Park — Attraction in Maplewood

Today I went to play basketball. PAST 5PM on a Tuesday!

There were hundreds of children everywhere.. and the basketball court was filled up and nobody from outside can play because of massive private lessons.. IN A PUBLIC PARK?

I can tell they have been there for hours because another man was returning to the park and was quite upset that he can’t play basketball for Hours! He told me..

I wasn’t even allowed to do simple harmless layups with good control for the safety of others!

Please, LET US know HERE whenever massive private lessons become apparent, so I don’t waste my time walking towards the public park burning my calories! Post an alert or...

This is a great little neighborhood park! I’m not sure if it’s a place I would go out of my way to get to, but for me and everyone in my neighborhood it’s a really nice place. There is a tennis court, basketball court, a nice size playground, some stationary exercise equipment, a very large soccer field, and a walking path that goes around the soccer field. I see all kinds of people walking or jogging - young, old, in shape, getting in shape, etc. there are also a couple of picnic tables, but no grills.

I worked the soccer tournament this past month at this facility. as for the soccer fields, they look to be in great condition but once you get further up The grass is extremely spotted. What I mean is that it's tough to string passes or drip of the ball for younger children because the ball takes unexpected bounces more times than none. The fields also have a softball field in the far corner which takes up some of the grass and makes it into a dirt field.
