We went once again today 03/15/25 Jennifer took excellent care of us! Thanks As I said... we went back, and things get back to the original and excellent level.... We will go again for 2025 New Year's eve A Hidden Gem on Marco Island - 5 Stars All the Way! ONLY DURING WEEKDAYS WHEN THE GOOD SERVERS ARE AT THE PLACE I've had the pleasure of dining at The SpeakEasy Marco Island twice now, and each time has been nothing short of exceptional. This place has truly become a favorite for my family and me. On our most recent visit, I started with the Lobster Bisque, which was rich, creamy, and bursting with flavor. The Seared Tuna Tacos were a perfect follow-up—fresh, perfectly seasoned, and absolutely delicious. On our first visit, we enjoyed the Escargot and the Lobster Roll, both of which were equally outstanding. The food here consistently has that comforting, homemade taste, prepared fresh with great care. The atmosphere is another highlight. We've always chosen to sit outdoors near the water, and the serene, picturesque setting truly enhances the dining experience. It's the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a fantastic meal. The drink selection is top-notch as well. We've savored everything from expertly crafted Martinis to refreshing Palomas and Margaritas. The wine selection is also impressive, offering a great variety for all tastes. Service has been consistently excellent on both occasions, and special recognition goes to Devin, who took great care of us each time. Friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable—everything you could ask for in a server. We will definitely be back again. The SpeakEasy Marco Island is a hidden gem, and I wholeheartedly give it 5 stars. Highly recommended!

It is called "The Speakeasy", but unlike the most speakeasy spots in NYC, it was not so hidden… We wanted to sit outside, so the hostess guided us to the back. They had a bar with lots of indoor seating also. The outdoor seating area was not so large, but still had a pretty good amount of tables. They did have a nice water view, but had no breeze coming through… It was a very muggy day with high humidity, it was not so pleasant… We started off our lunch with a cold drink, Peach Palmer, without realizing what kind of drink it was… We thought it was like Arnold Palmer, but with peach flavor. It was actually an alcoholic beverage! It was so overly sweet, not as tasty as it sounded. For appetizer, we ordered Bootlegger Calamari and Drunken Clams. The portion was great, nice amount for sharing. They were both pretty tasty. For main, we had Shrimp Po Boy with grilled shrimps, which I wondered if it is still qualifies as a Po Boy??? It was a cold sandwich, a nice, refreshing sandwich on a hot, muggy day. I went with Prohibition Burger to go with the Speakeasy theme. It was quite impressive with that huge fried pickle sitting atop like a crown! A bit greasy so get ready to get your hands dirty! We also had Pizza Flatbread which was nice and thin, crispy, and pretty darn tasty! The meal was tasty and VERY filling. We were all so completely stuffed! Our server was not friendly at all, to the point it was almost comical… He didn’t really come check on us, we didn’t get any refill on the water even though our water glasses were empty… So the service was bad, but the food and the view was nice. A good place for a quick bite that is affordable and filling.

Great place for “cool cats” to dine inside or out. Referred to me by a coworker and Marco Island resident, I walked into a bar & restaurant tucked away in the corner of a small complex to “check out the joint.” A gentleman behind the bar introduced himself as Bobby Nash and he was so friendly and informative that I invited a friend to join me for dinner there the following week. Being off season, we opted for outdoor seating & enjoyed a relaxing waterfront view. I ordered the NY strip, medium rare, & my friend ordered their Two Tail Lobster Special, which is offered on Mondays & Wednesdays We chose to share our dishes. We finished fresh salads that preceded the entrees before drizzling melted butter over the lobster tails & our choice of potatoes. The lobster tails were butterflied for a mess free dining experience and the steak was prepared perfectly. We even ate almost all of our vegetables, they were that good, before sharing a slice of their chocolate cake. Everything was delicious! It was nice to catch up on good conversation with a dear friend by the waters edge. Very satisfying. Upon leaving, I think I spotted someone eating a big bowl of French Onion soup, It looked yummy. Perhaps their passphrase should be “Is mom here?” because these two ladies will definitely be back to eat with more friends. #❤️SpeakEasyMarco #IsMomHere

We were in town for a bachelorette party, one where we were celebrating two brides. The Speakeasy was first on our list. We had reservations at 8pm because of our late incoming flight.

The reason for this review was the service. Alex was our server, and whether it wasn't taking orders from some of the girls, not listening to orders given, taking upwards of 20 minutes between drinks, or holding onto all of our cards for 20+ minutes/claiming he didn't know where some of them were, by the end we couldn't wait to get out of there—but it took us 2.5 hours to do so.

The credit card fiasco happened after they were closed at 10PM and with only one other table in the restaurant, which doesn't make me (a fellow server) think Alex was overwhelmed. I finally found my credit card in the server book I initially gave to him after searching the entire restaurant—and it ended up right in front of him alongside 3 other books with my friends' cards. He initially told me I never gave it to him.

I'm a server and despite being advised to tip him nothing, I couldn't do that. I gave him an average % tip and recommended he work on it to both him and his superiors, but I was seething. Alex said, "I'm sorry, it was a rough night." Which I understand and was/am empathetic toward. I said, "I get it, we all have them." As a customer however, I'm allowed to be upset.

For the final nail in the coffin, as they were closing down and after they were searching for my card under the table, they made us move out from under the umbrellas that were shielding us from the rain—even though we wanted to leave way sooner than that.

(Apparently Alex was in training, which isn't something that was disclosed to us until after he claimed I never gave him my credit card and couldn't find it)

Aside from the rough night comment, no apology out of the restaurant and no offered comps. I don't need anything for free, and I would have turned it down if asked, but sometimes it's nice...

Where to begin, the overall experience was extremely less than par.

To start our waitress was not very attentive. Multiple times I had to ask for fresh glasses due to the hot weather melting our ice in the cups. Our drinks stayed watered down the majority of our visit.

At one point my son’s styrofoam cup’s lid fell to the concrete patio and the waitress handed back as expecting him to reuse it. I specifically asked for a replacement lid and never received one.

At no point during our visit did Michelle take any empty plates or cups. A separate server and the on duty manager both visited our table to remove the empty containers.

The final bill was not correct either but that is another story. However, she did take off both my wife’s and my steaks due to us not eating them. My wife’s bakes potato was decent but the steak was over cooked. I had explicitly asked for the mixed vegetables to be removed from my meal but I guess they decided I needed them as my plate was full of mixed vegetables right next to my highly desired steak. So with this new addition of veggies in the same plate as my steak I now had the privilege of having all of the vegetables steamed water in the same plate as my steak. This resulted in my steak tasting a bit more like a garden salad versus a cut of beef. Horrible taste. It again she did take it off my bill.

We ordered two kids meals (1. Pizza and 2. Chicken tenders) we asked for one meal to have mac & cheese in lieu of french fries fully expecting to pay an up charge. Just did not expect to have to pay for a full mac & cheese kids meal, now totaling three kids meals for two kids???

I can go on a little more but I will end this rant and review due to my family wanting to get back to our Marco Island vacation trip. Hopefully, you have a...
