Sunshine Booksellers North — Local services in Marco Island

I used to go here alot. They have great gifts, book, candles, etc. Now I will try anywhere else I can. About 2 months ago I needed to mail a fed ex and I wasn't sure what envelope to use and how the lable went on. There was a guy there I've never seen before and I asked him for some help and all though he did help me he was so rude and acted like I was really stupid. Last week I gave it another chance and I was struggling with the lable cover and this same guy was sitting down doing nothing watching me and didn't offer any help. I didn't want to ask him because I knew he was going to be rude but in the end I had no choice and of course he was once again so rude. I couldn't believe how rude he was especially since he wasn't busy. I wasn't interrupting him he was sitting down doing nothing. I would rather at this point drive to Naples than to ever have to deal with him again. It's a shame too because I really did like the store. I would not go here unless you have your whole FedEx already packaged and are just...

I saw how well-reviewed this store was and my husband and I decided to take our 4 year old and 2 year old here to pick out a souvenir. It looks like a really cute store and they have a fun kids' section, but the whole time we were there we were hovered over by an employee. She wouldn't stop talking to our kids (not to us) and talking about "tidying up" after them and trying to get them to look at toys they weren't interested in. It was very bizarre and annoying. Our kids are well-behaved and weren't making a mess or being loud or anything. It was clear she didn't actually want kids looking at or touching toys in their kids' section. It got to the point where our kids were feeling uncomfortable too, because they didn't want to talk to her and they weren't free to look at the things they wanted to look at. Customer service at this place is horrible. I went to ship out some $6500 HRE wheels with Michelin tires to a client. The wheels were properly packed and shrink wrapped completely. They denied my package and told me they didn't want them to "stink" up their store and I should stand there and wait until 4pm for the FedEx truck to come and give it to them directly. This is the second time I've been deny, the first was because my package that was 30x14x10 was too big and they didn't have enough space for it. I always label my packages myself and drop them off there. I don't thinkt they're happy about it if they are not getting the business, just my observation and opinion. I won't be going back there, I'll just go to the Walgreens up the road...
