Two Cents Plain See u in spring 2026 — Restaurant in Margate City

I ordered a small Carmel pretzel cone which ran $4.00, not bad for Margate. After ordering the cone we sat at a table. I was enthralled in conversation with friends when suddenly we were interrupted. Just as I was remarking to my friend about the deliciousness of the ice cream and the welcoming environment, we were asked to leave the table. Apparently counter-order customers must eat outside with the seagulls. As I looked at the employee and gazed dumb-foundidly about the restaurant I noticed several open tables. This added insult to injury. I turned to my lifelong friend and said "I hope this is the last time we dine together in the rain." I don't normally offer my Two Cents but I feel obligated after this demoralizing, moisture filled fiasco.

I was shocked when the owner was rushing me out while I was mid-way through my sundae. I felt hassled as they were cleaning up under me. On google they say open until 11:30pm, and I came in and was seated around 10:30pm. Excited to be back there after so many years ; was one of my favorite ice cream shops as a child. Around 11pm, the owner began rushing me to finish my ice cream, said they needed my dish to finish cleaning. She continued to say rude and insulting comments implying that I was taking too long to eat my ice cream and should have been done already. It’s a shame because never will I go back there. Went there to get a scoop of ice cream since there wasn’t much left of the flavor they scooped about a half of scoop charged 6.00 plus tax. We will never be back. The owner responded with the answer I must have confused it with another ice cream store. No I didn't confuse it with another store, now the owner wants to insult me as well.
