2/10/2023 is a date that I'll never ever forget ,this is the day my precious mom took her last breath on this earth ,she was sick 3-4:days and gone so fast and no one expected anything like this would happen ..But ready or not, it did. Me along with other family members, , in an extremely unsure time. Found out that she had already made her own arrangements and paid for everything threw James and Sikes funeral home. Mr. Sikes Remembered her makings the arrangements, and things that was said ,then ,25 years after the convrrsation. I remember when my dad passed in 2001 ,she (my mom) was impressed with the services received from these guys , so she went ahead and took care of everything. (( like she always did )) seemingly from the grave , she was reaching out trying to make everything less painful ,than it had to be .. The services went really well ,I believe she would have been pleased. The staff at James and Sikes deserve much thanks as they. We're so professional with just the right balance of emphaty and caring. They took the worst situtation imagineable and took as much pain out as they possibly could , I'll Definatly be following her lead and taking care of my own arrangements as well,I'd certainly recommend these guys to anyone, in their time of need . Our family chose James & Sikes Funeral Home for my mother’s funeral in 2023, and James & Sikes made us feel like family. They made the process of planning the funeral so much easier than I ever imagined. The death of my mother was very difficult on my sweet daddy, and was such an emotionally difficult time for the entire family, but the James & Sikes team rallied around us and went above and beyond to provide comfort and care for our entire family throughout the difficult planning process and the actual funeral service. Because of the exceptional care James & Sikes provided for my mother’s funeral, we without hesitation chose them again to help us through the emotional process of my daddy’s funeral in 2024. I knew earlier in 2024 the end was coming for my mother. I had brought her from FL to TX so that I could have her close by. My family is buried in the Lovedale Baptist Church cemetery so the plan was to bury her there with my dad. I called Chris and asked him to help with getting mom back to FL when the time came. He made arrangements with a Funeral Home close to me and took all of the stress out of the process.
