It's the last grocery store with an emphasis on quality. They get consumables in and right back out,...if you notice your milk, your yogurt etc... are good for longer. The meat is fresh and tastes better. And theres someone who makes sure everything is dated appropriately. ( I don't feel like i have to check the date on every item I put in my cart, which is so comforting) they even have a double-your-money-back guarantee and a scan-right guarantee . It's certainly quality! The only thing I don't care for ( and this still would not stop me shopping there ) is they don't tend to carry any of the larger sizes of things. Say you get salsa .. There's generally a variety of sizes... a medium amount is about as much as you'll find on anything that is sold like that. Was there today just to get something small usually good employees but today no one was in their check out lanes except one they where all around one register that I had to go to since lights where on but no one was there the registered I went a cashier name Austin was running it I understand if they were bored talking but he said hi and continued talking to the bagger not paying attention to the point where I had to tell him he skip over my $2 perks I went there for he said what perks I said the one you skip over he double checked put it back on there then continue on talking to the bagger like I wasn't there rude no ones paying attention they don't talk to you during transaction and the don't bother to let you know about your perks to all customers pay attention because they'll skip over it without letting you know...

I called about a week ahead of time and placed a rather substantial order with the deli of chicken, sliders, veggie trays, pretzel bites, etc. for an event for about 80 people I needed catered with small bites. Everything was heated and ready to go, and tasted great. I got several compliments from people who couldn't believe Giant Eagle had provided the food. They didn't realize such high quality food could be prepared and sold in the quantity we had ordered.
