If I could give zero stars I would.
Don't go to Mavis Tire, any of them. This is the second location I have tried. Both this location and the location located at 1405 E Cobb Dr, Marietta, GA 30068 in East Cobb have lied to my face and have zero integrity.
Each location told me they did a tire rotation and NEITHER location did the work. I marked my tire before going in for service so there was no doubt that they lied.
At the West Cobb location I made an appointment this Saturday and left my car there for 3 hours. In 3 hours they still didn't do the tire rotation. When I came back the next day to have the work completed, taking more time out of my time off from work, the receptionist told me that I had to wait like everyone else because they had appointments or I could come back another day or take my car somewhere else. She also lied again, telling me she was the manager all while she had the manager on her earpiece on her phone. She put me on the phone with the manager, Jeff, and Jeff told me that the tire rotation was not on the order. I had the order in my hands that clearly read 1 tire rotation. Then the receptionist, Key, pointed to the rotation item on the order and said that they did do the rotation. Zero customer service skills. AND I had to wait another 45 minutes for them to do the rotation after I refused to leave without the work that I came in for was completed. I am a busy executive and I shouldn't have to mark my tire in the first place but this is not my first time dealing with dishonest mechanics, as I know so many of us can relate.
At the East Cobb location I worked with the manager, Israel. Israel was inappropriately flirting with me and asking me very personal information which made me very uncomfortable. Again, brought my car in for a simple oil change and tire rotation. During inspection of the vehicle Israel offered me new windshield wipers on them, which was a nice gesture. I received a call while they were working on the car stating that I needed new brakes. I said ok, I saw a brake pad coupon online and he said no worries, I will take care of you. I went in when the car was finished and he told me my total was $650. I asked why, that the brake pads were $180, $100 oil change and free tire rotation. He said they replaced the front routers too. I said I never authorized that and he said he'd take $50 off. What was I supposed to do? I had to get back to work, so I just paid and left but I was not happy. I get back to my office and realize my tires were not rotated and I still have my old windshield wipers on. I took the car back the next day so they could complete the job and when I picked it up and was driving away I tried the windshield wipers, and to no surprise, they were not changed, still the old ones. So I stopped in the parking lot and went back in. Then they told me they didn't have those wipers in stock and I have to come back a THIRD time while they got some in stock.
If your time is valuable and you want to trust that your mechanic is honest, has integrity and actually cares about your car and safety then Mavis Tire is not the place for you. Save your time and sanity and find a place that respects and values their customers. I will...
Read more6 months ago charged me $1500 for a brake job for which they even admitted later it was an overcharge . A few weeks ago went in to buy 2 tires. Said they had to order them. 10 days passed and received an email for my installation. Went down there at 8AM and was told it was an automated response that tires had not come in. 4 days later on a Wednesday I seen Jeff at a diner and he said still looking for them. Sunday I went to the store twice and left message for Jeff to call me. Even had a photo of some similar tires I wanted to buy and gave it to them. 2 days went but and never received a phone call. Decided to go to Discount Tire after 2.5 weeks had gone buy. Figured Mavis did not want my business. Purchased the tires and they said Mavis had broke off a lug nut in the brake job. It would be $125 to replace it but they did have the tool. Went back to Jeff and told him I had already purchased 2 tires and they had broken off a lug nut without telling me. He got very angry i had purchased tires elsewhere and told me “ I thought we had a good working relationship “ He then started shaking and told me “ He hoped I got soaked in my tire purchase. !” This is no way to talk to a senior citizen with disabilities. He said this was his livelihood and ivdid him wrong. Waiting on tires two and a half weeks without a call back is not my idea of good customer service much less senior abuse...
Read moreDO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO THIS LOCATION!!!! I had my car towed here after the check engine light came on. Mavis is a pretty reputable mechanic shop so I felt confident that they were equipped to diagnose , and fix my car repairs. This was the WORST mistake I made. They would fix my car, I’d pick it up and then be forced to take it back to them to fix yet another issue. After the 3rd time I picked it up, I drove it out of town and my car broke down on the highway. I took it to a Precision (HIGHLY RECOMMED) and they ran a diagnostics test and immediately knew what was wrong. After explaining to the mechanics at precision that I just got work done, they grew curious and began to ask questions. I then called the Mavis location to tell them I had broke down and to ask them if they ran a diagnostic test- they admitted that they never did . So for 4 weeks, they blindly made repairs on my car by playing the guessing game. Both Chris and Jeff took turns talking in circles around what they repaired and how I may not have needed the work down that I got done @ Precision- mind you, I was forced to take it there due it breaking down after their piss poor job. These mechanics are incompetent! SAVE YOUR MONEY AND TIME...
