I cannot express enough gratitude for Chris. The manager at this location has been more than excellent realistically, he’s done an outstanding work. I have a BMW X5 and for the last past year. I’ve tried to fix an issue on the brakes that no one couldn’t figure out not even the BMW technicians. Apparently my car had the wrong calipers placed in when I bought the vehicle and it was causing the vehicle to not operate fully functional and it was giving me a lot of troubles I try as many types of brakes and pads, and all of them kept doing the same thing the same noise in the same pulsing vibration while driving. It was a horrible experience. I never understood why if I change the brakes it would still do the same thing I went to one of the Mavis at Johnson ferry Road and even though they’ve really tried, they could not even pinpoint the situation. We had many trials and with no success, but I decided to give it one more time since I had the warranty and I went to another Mavis where Chris was before his Dallas store and he was the only person that noticed the difference if it wasn’t for Chris, I would still be having a lot of issues with my braking systems. I definitely recommend that you if you live nearby his store or you want an honest opinion from someone that is generally interested in their customer satisfaction and well-being in and safety. Then you have to come to the store hands-down he is the man. And I’ve noticed that in the MAVIS store on Piedmont Road the new manager that was supposed to replace him did not do a correct assessment he he basically did not want to take the responsibility and fixing the issue. I definitely would not recommend that store for anyone that has an European vehicle as he supposedly stated that he did not know how to work on these type of vehicles. So if you are in the Marietta area, I definitely recommend eyes close hands-down take the car to Chris. He’ll take...
Read moreI am only giving one star because that was as low as I could go on the review. I had scheduled an appointment on line a week ahead for an alignment, tire rotation & balancing. I arrived 30 minutes before my 11:00 am appointment since I was leaving the car there. Someone finally showed up at the desk after about 5 minutes. We did the check in & I left. Later that day at approximately 3:45 pm I called to check the status & was told they would try to get my car in next. Reluctantly I agreed, but the more I thought about it I decided I would just come pick up my car rather than have them do a rush job on it. So I called back & told the lady on the phone I was coming to pick up my car since they had not gotten to it yet. Her immediate response was simply “OK.” When I got there, again there was no one at the counter & another customer was waiting as well. He told me he had gotten an alignment & an oil change, but that his oil light came on as soon as he left. So he checked the oil level & they had forgotten to add the oil!! Needless to say he was upset. So when someone finally came to the desk I told him why I was there & he started looking for my paperwork. He looked for about 5 minutes & couldn’t find the work order or my keys. The lady who checked me in happened to walk in & I told her why I was there. She immediately found my keys in a drawer & handed them to me & said nonchalantly “have a nice day.” I looked at her in surprise & said, “that’s all you have to say, have a nice day?” She just smiled, shrugged her shoulders. The other customer & I just shook our heads in disgust & I left. I WILL NEVER RETURN TO THIS LICATION AGAIN, & very likely not to any Mavis Tire...
Read moreWHAT I PAID FOR • March 2025 – Spent ≈ $3,300 at this shop to cure a high-speed vibration on my 2011 Ram 1500. • Parts installed: upper & lower control arms, struts, sway-bar links, rear control arms, alignment. • I reported by phone within 48 hours that the shake was still present.
WHAT ACTUALLY FIXED THE PROBLEM • July 2025 – New store manager balanced the wheels for free; vibration disappeared instantly. • Root cause turned out to be wheel weights that had not been touched in years—not the suspension parts I was sold.
WHY THIS IS NOW ONE STAR
Misdiagnosis cost me $3,300. Basic wheel balance was never checked before recommending thousands in parts.
Regional manager refused any resolution. Store manager was courteous but said leadership told him to do nothing.
Escalation handled poorly. When I came back (politely) to request a partial refund or credit and said I would share my experience publicly, staff accused me of “threatening.” I left, returned with a police officer to ensure a calm discussion, and the regional manager exited through the rear door and drove away instead of speaking with us. Also, corporate office directly informs you that there is no one else at the company you can speak to besides the regional, who also directs the store manager to take no action.
BOTTOM LINE Nice local employees, but regional leadership chose to ignore a clear misdiagnosis documented from day one. If you have a vibration, insist on a road-force wheel balance and written results first. I remain open to revising this review if corporate issues a fair partial refund or credit that...
