Everytime I go there for food for my reptiles, I ask each one the same question and always get a different answer. I bought my Leppard Gecko from there a few weeks back, wasn't actually trying to buy, but just look, but the lady working because she was busy, thought I was buying. She tried to get her m out of his cage, but he was so aggressive (which is why I ended up buying him) she could barely get him out! Well before check out I was trying to ask some basic questions for care and she didn't know ANYTHING! Not even his gender!! I bought everything needed for him that I didn't don't already have and left. That night put him in his new set-up with a little food and the nest morning I went to get him out and half his body was covered in grey and was still VERY distressed! So I decided to take him back to see what they thought and when I pulled him out of his cage, he was completely grey (shedding) and I asked what was going on.. The man at the counter didn't know (I figured it was a stress shed) so in order for them to take him to the vet they said I had to return him which I was not made aware of when purchasing him. The man did the return, but never gave me my money back so I asked the manager and she rudely said the man never entered the transaction into their system. Then I get a call two days later saying my Gecko was fine but they're keeping him for 30 days even though nothing was wrong. So I waited about a week to decide what to do with his stuff and ended up trying to return it. Another manager was the one doing my return, but AGAIN "forgot" to give me money back for two of the most expensive things. I told her there was no way the amount returned was correct and she became rude with me and went back and "realized" her mistake and gave me the rest of my money. Long story, but point is, they hire people who don't even know the basics needed for these animals care or lifestyle nor are they honest when doing returns! I've had petty things happen there when it comes to getting what you pay for, but untill two different managers that were rude tried to rip me off, that's when I realized they don't have simple mix ups or accidents, they are just scandalous and...
Read moreI rescued an American Pitbull terrier about 12 weeks ago. Completely clueless as to how in the world i was going to take care of her. She was roughly 18 months old when she found me. Very strong, fast, and really nervous just to name a few of the things that makes her a handful. She had never really experienced the outside world. They kept her locked up in a cage most of the time because her and another dog couldn't get along. I knelt down and looked into her eyes and asked her to trust me. She did she does and will forever trust me. After a few days of just she and I she was ready to meet the fun people at Petco. We have made taking a trip to Petco on Sunday part of our weekly schedule. I cant brag enough about the help both lexie and I get every trip no matter how busy they are. We are greeted by smiling faces and puppy treats. I dont know who the managers are but I will say they are running a tight ship. I was so happy to have this chance to brag on your employees. Everyone is so fast to point out minor mistakes or honest accidents just because it makes them feel good . I wish everybody would tell random strangers that we cross paths with that they are doing a good job and that u are...
Read moreI was told to bring my miniature poodle in at 9:30 am. I was also told to bring or fax her shot records. Which i had faxed the same day. Was told the price would be $42.00. When i got to the store the young girl working (Samantha)said that my appointment is at 10:30, not 9:30. I told her that my dog has a vet appointment at 2 in a different city. Will she be ready? She said, yes that it only takes a couple of hours. Then she said, did you bring the shot records? I told her that they were faxed over. She couldn't find them and had to go ask someone where they were. I waited until 1:00pm and called Petco to see if my poodle was done and was told that she would be done in 20 to 25 minutes. Ok, now I can't take her to the vet because it's to late. I asked Samantha (the groomer) once again the price she said $42.00. When I got there to pick up my dog the price was $47.00. When I asked her about it, she said, I don't know why I said that? She's a bigger poodle not, real small. It was just a bad experience from the beginning to the end and I will NOT be taking my dog...
