The Shoppes at Sproul Plaza — Local services in Marple Township

I had been looking forward to shopping at Walking Depot since I moved to the Broomall area. I am not fully protected from COVID yet but I will be soon. Couldn’t resist when my son was in Wawa so I went looking at the stuff outside. Found an amazing pair of Dansko’s. One pair left, IN MY SIZE! I went in, staying near the door. I saw three salespersons, all multiple times. No one offered to help me. There was one other customer in the store. I would have bought the Dansko’s but I am glad that I didn’t. When I got back in the car, I googled the shoes, having taken photos for accuracy. Every single one of the Google search results provided me with options for purchase that were less expensive than the “25% off” pair at the Walking Depot. I’m not sure which part bothered me more, the sales people not being interested in helping me or the sale being BS. Anyway, that is an honest reflection of my experience today I gave the three stars because of Wawa and Jacquette’s Bakery, which I personally did not visit today, but they are awesome and didn’t want my less than five star review to reflect...

Definitely seems like a smaller size Home Depot but they do carry a lot of merchandise. 3 star only because my friends 16yr old kid bought a Milwaukee M12 tool that included a free battery. The worker in the tool section didn’t have a clue how to go about the transaction since the free battery wasn’t in stock. They sold him the tool anyway. We went to another Home Depot (KOP) to see if they would give him the battery since broomall couldn’t at which point he was then instructed to return the tool to broomall and come back to KOP to re-buy the tool to receive the free battery. We then went back to Broomall to return the tool which was opened but not used. (We needed to open to verify which bits would fit) They wouldn’t let him return the tool because he didn’t have an ID since he used a gift card, again 16 year old kid. They didn’t have to make it so difficult for the poor kid, he’s seriously considering going to the Blue store just because you get better...

Great stores and Wawa a and walking Depot is lije your old fashioned shoe store. They mwasure your foot correctly and get you a shoe that fits. your foot says Thank you. Wonderful customer aervice. Quality shoes- well made- i will pay for quality and no drama. Great alternatve suvggestion for shoe types i hadn't thought of. Very responsive to your needa.
