Barnes & Noble — Local services in Marple Township

It's an okay bookstore. It would be better if they didn't pester you to buy their book buyer "discount" card. Honestly, it should never cost you ten bucks to get a discount. I'm sure there are people who use it enough to offset the price, but it's not for me. And once I say "No, thank you." That should be the end of that discussion. But, they keep asking. Maybe the employees get penalised for making nonbookclub sales? I don't know. And no, I am not interested in giving you my email. And again, once I say "No, thank you" that part of the conversation is done. Move on. Borders was a better customer experience, but their corporate management was incompotent... So, Barnes & Noble is all there is locally. Thank goodness...

I absolutely love Barnes & Noble! I am huge lover of books and writing, so I'm sad to see all of the book stores going the way of the buffalo. Luckily, in our area, one remains, and it's this Barnes & Noble location

I've always received fantastic customer service at this location. The employees I've encountered have been helpful and knowledgeable about the store and books in general, which is always nice. Anyone that loves books, I highly suggest giving this location a visit! They deserve the business! Plus, let's try to keep this location open!! I called to asked about applying for a my dream job at this direct location. I was answered by a employee who was dismissive, rude and arrogant. She couldn’t be bothered to talk to a young man who careful mustered the courage to make a in person phone call. She strategically didn’t divulge her name and demanded that if I knew anything” which clearly I don’t that she couldn’t be bothered with potential hirers and she’s was above it it. Her customer service was laudable and rude. I was shocked. It took me two weeks to work up to calling and putting myself out there and she crushed my hopes and effort.
