Called and ordered a ham for Christmas. The employee supposedly takes the order. I ask him do I need some type of order number to pick up the ham? The employee says no just come in and use the code A1. They don't really worry about any type of verification. He states they are open till 4 on Christmas Eve. I ask about the pulled pork. Can I order that too? I've never been here before. NO he says they don't take orders for that it's in their freezer and there will have plenty of it. I show up Christmas Eve at 1:30pm. I ask for the ham and a worker goes into the back brings one out(I ordered between 8 and 10 lb) unwraps it and asks me about the weight, 9.6 lb. "Is it ok?" I say yes and she rings it up. Clearly this was not ordered for me or anyone else. So then I ask about the pork "Oh it is in our freezer over there." Nothing is in the freezer "Maybe there is some in the back" No none in the back. A woman at the counter is purchasing some. "Sorry that is our last bag." REALLY so let me get this straight You advertise your wonderful holiday meals and services for months but you don't really take orders for anything you sell or have it in the store when customers show up for it?I guess I was lucky I got a ham because I am betting anyone who came into the store at 3:45 pm looking for one was sadly disappointed. Funniest thing of all is they had a sign out front stating they were not making sandwiches that day due to the volume of sales. They probably needed the ham for the customers that had placed "ORDERS" Making sandwiches out of it would have really caused a problem! Overpriced come on. ...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreCUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIBLE SO I WOULD THINK TWICE BEFORE SHOPPING AT THIS LOCATION. Every year in honor of my dad we get his fave ham from honey baked. This year I brought a ham for $56 that was full of fat. Remind you you pay by the weight of the ham and this ham was over 50% fat. I called today and was told bring the ham back and you will get a gift card. I tried to explain to the owner Andrew I live close to 30mins away so to drive there for a giftcard and waste gas wouldn't be smart. I wanted my money back but could he mail the giftcard since that's the only option and I'll email the pics of the fatty ham. He said no that's the policy I then asked could I complain higher he replies I write the checks I'm the boss lol like ok sir. Long story short I own a business as well and policy is policy however in some cases you should use your better judgement. For me it's a waste of money but at lease I can warn others. If you can purchase a ham from another location I say do that. Ps. Dear Andrew the boss remember you never know who is on the other side of the phone. Choose your...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWeāve been ordering him from the Broomall location for years. I specifically ordered early this year because they were offering a five dollar off coupon. I went to pick up the ham and unfortunately didnāt realize that I needed to have the coupon with me for it to be applied. I felt like the person that waited on me was rather rude. Was not helpful at all and just kept saying that they were an individually owned store and they had nothing to do with the coupon or the website. There wasnāt anyone else in the store at the time so it wasnāt like they couldnāt of taken the time. Very disappointed when you spend $100 for ham and you get treated like that. They definitely need to have some customer service training. Iām really not sure...
