Garden China Restaurant — Restaurant in Marple Township

Yesterday, July 25, 2019, Was Not a good day for this restaurant as far as I'm concerned.

We ordered food from here a few times. I ordered General Tso's Chicken. The chicken wasn't all meat as it was in the past. It was about 1/3 edible. It was Loaded with gristle and tendons. Totally inedible.

I called after 3 PM. The woman didn't understand me. She hung up 2 times.

I was in the restaurant business 26 years. I know about decent food. Maybe the restaurant is buying already-prepared chicken. &/or The one(s) responsible for getting the food ready wasn't properly trained. Or Some...

UPDATE 11/07/23: Try their chicken-corn chowder, so good! Dine-in seating is back. Very nice new setup with large tables; and, no more log jam at the front door. We go to many other restaurants, Chinese and otherwise and like to think that we’re pretty discriminating. Garden China consistently prepares high quality meals, so much so that we’ve been going here for the past 30 years. Not many restaurants last that long. Through it all Garden China’s food and preparation has remained top notch. Best BBQ ribs out there Chinese or otherwise. Thank you...

A reliable place to get Chinese food from any day of the week, IF you pick it up and don't get it delivered.

This restaurant has made a lot of improvements to their business. Their food is good, their menu is decent, and their cook times are quick.

This is a reliable restaurant to buy from. I give it a 4 star and not a 5 star simply from the fact that their delivery can take over an hour, but when you pick it up it's in the range of 15-20 minutes. This means the food isn't so fresh which has been the case...
