I called to ask about sizing my rings and if they buy Gold. They told me over the phone that it would be $80 to go up in size and $50 to go down in size. She also gave me a quote of what it would cost to add gold to it and I remember it being high and she said the reason was because the price of gold is high right now. I decided to stop in with the two rings that I had. The same lady I spoke to on the phone told me that it would cost $165 to go up in size. I reminded her that when I spoke to her on the phone that she told me it would be $80 to go up in size. Which was maybe 5 days ago or so...And suddenly she said...Oh I must have given you the silver price by mistake. That was a blatant lie because she specifically told me how expensive gold was to add to the ring over the phone. Let's just say hypothetically that it was a mistake... in my opinion that would have been a huge mistake on her part. I mean they weren't off by a few dollars... that would be understandable...but...by double? I'm extremely disappointed in this jewelry store. And my boyfriend guessed why that happened... And he thinks it's because I drove up in a Corvette. Because it looks clean and expensive but in fact it's a 1999 so it's old... And not expensive... But because that's what I drove there....they assumed I had lots of money. What a...
Read moreI had a very negative experience this past Monday with this jeweler. But I will say in June, when I went to them to get a watch fixed, it was a very pleasant experience. I brought a visually impaired gentleman's talking watch in to get the battery replaced. In June, they fixed it asap. Charged me $15.00. this time when I took the same watch for a new battery, he was anything but pleasant. Very rude and nasty. He brought the watch back out, swinging it on his finger stating that it was an oddball battery and he doesn't have those. I stated you fixed it in June with no issues, he replied we most certainly did not. I told him to look me up, you put me in your system. Well he said, I must of had one just laying around. He did offer to order one, but I told him we drive over 30 miles just for this today. He just shrugged. So I said never mind, I will go someplace else. He said, your choice. So a huge shout out to Jim Kryshak Jewelers in Rib Mountain. They had no issues fixing TWO talking watches for me yesterday. Fixed for a donation in their donation jar!!! Can't beat that! Even fixed the wristband on the one! I will drive 50 miles to that jeweler anytime. Whickershams you were a huge...
Read moreI took my watch in to be repaired and was a little skeptical when the individual who waited on me had no idea that watches ran just buy winding them. This was an old watch that belonged to my grandmother that I received in 1962 from my grandfather. It has sentimental value that's why I was hoping it could be repaired. When I picked it up today they told me they had tried to call me a few days ago and the call was immediately disconnected. I was a little dismayed that they made no attempt to try and call again and I'm glad I took some time just to stop in to see if it was ready. The employees in the Marshfield store are all very nice and I'm sure they do an excellent sales job. I think they need a little help in the customer relations department and possibly in...
