Lumberyard Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Marshfield

My daughter and I went here today at 5:15 pm (3-28-21). The waitress kept going to the table across from us but never once came to our table after she gave us our drinks and my salad. She kind of slammed down the salad. She never once said here is your salad would you like anything else. She just Set it down hard and walked away. We were sitting there patiently trying to get her attention because my daughter decided she wanted a salad also. We eventually asking the other waitress for the salad. Then our waitress brought it out to us in again set it down very hard and walked away never once asked us if we needed anything else, never once came over to see if we wanted anything a refill on our sodas or anything like that. It was the worst experience I’ve ever had there we left 45 minutes later without receiving our food we paid for the salads and our drinks and left. When we told the waitress we could no longer wait because my daughter was on a lunch break and had to get back to work that we were just going to pay for the salads we ate and the drinks. She told us we could not do that because we Went into a restaurant establishment and sit down and ordered food so we had to pay for our food. I told her we never received the food so we were not paying for the food. I told her we are going to pay for the salads that we ate and the drinks that we had. So we got charge $14 and some change. We got there and the waitresses and hostesses were super friendly and inviting. We got seated right away and they accommodated our table for someone who was joining in a wheelchair. The side salads are delicious and better than most resturaunts. We got their bruschetta and it was made with pico rather than basil and tomatoes which was a little different but pretty tasty - could have used a minute or two more for more crunch. We got our food without waiting too long and it was mixed reviews from our party. The steak medallions in a pasta were a bit overdone, as was a steak ordered medium. My steak tips and mushrooms were done perfectly; however, I wasnt the biggest fan of the gravy sauce it came in. The ceasar salad has Lots of bacon on it and it huge!! Ask for bacon on the side or held if it's not for you. Our waitress was super friendly and fairly attentive. I definitely want to come back and try a couple different things, they have a pretty decent sized menu and also have AWESOME cheesecake. I tried the cotton candy cheesecake and it was well worth it. The hostess seated us at a table facing the kitchen. While waiting for our food I observed a cook eating french fries several times off of a plate that was complete and waiting to be served. When the waitress picked the plate up and began walking towards our table I was horrified that it was my plate. In fact, it was! I told the waitress that I would not be eating my wrap because the cook was eating off the plate. She brought the plate back to the kitchen. Meanwhile, another waitress approached our table and explained they are required to test the fries before they go out to the table to assure they're done. After she walked away to get our bill for our soda another waitress came to apologize and told me there was a plate of fries next to my plate he was eating. I must've looked puzzled because the manager then came and said she watched the cameras (in all 3 minutes of time that lapsed) and she saw him eating fries, but not from my plate. Needless to say we left after paying for our drinks. I will never set foot back in...
