This location has a large variety of books and collectibles available to choose from. I was very surprised to see the number of choices was similar to Barnes and Noble. They even have an in store cafe. They offer a wide array of coffee beverages as well as non coffee products. BAM has a number of games available. I recently discovered that they sell booster packs of cards for various games in several genres. For instance, Cards against humanity booster packs themed in science fiction. They have a number of comics available for customers to choose from. They also sport a variety of brain tweezers like rubik's cube and other puzzles. They also have a great selection of novelty items available. They have (as of this date) vintage record players. They have a large selection of movies and movie memorabilia available as well. When visiting this location it is probably best to give yourself at least one hour to browse the selection as you may never know what might catch your eye. The staff seemed very friendly and eager to assist with finding items and equally friendly at check out. There was a lot more to the store than what I have written here. This store is definitely a good place to visit just to check it out. Who knows, maybe you will find something that you did not know you were...
Read moreI do alot of reading, around 200 or so books a year. Though not a Walmart fan I get most of my books there as they take an average of two bucks off the cover price. Not everyone can afford books as I have been able to so when done with them I either donate them to the VA hospital or other shut ins. I needed one book to complete a series the Walmart didn't have. I have shopped BAM many times when needing a book. I made two trips to BAM for this book but it was not in stock. I talked to a salesperson each time who told me they would have it in next week, they didn't. Every time there they try to sell me a discount card for twenty dollars which I turn down. Any other place that offers one all you have to do is sign up for it free. Now they tell me I have to order the book. 7.99 plus 3.99 shipping. I needed the book so I ordered it. Almost a month later still no book. Repeated trips talking to different sales people and getting different excuses it finally showed up. They had the wrong address marked on box so the post office finally figured it out. By now Walmart has it in for 5.98. Half the price it cost me at BAM. For twice the price I expected better service from them. It was the last book I will ever buy from them. Sorry BAM but for the price your customers should expect...
Read moreI was here to grab a magazine that I wanted. When I was ready to checkout there was no one to be found that could ring me up. I waited and waited and finally this guy showed up. He said he had just returned from his lunch break and sorry for the wait. I was wondering if he didn’t come back from his lunch how much longer I would have waited. When he was ringing up my magazine he keep pushing the magazine subscription that they always push when shopping here. I told him “No.” After asking me the first time he again asked me about the subscription. I told him no again. And finally when about to slide my card into the card reader he asked me a THIRD time. I was actually getting a little frustrated because if I said no a first and second time then what makes you think I am going to change my mind for the third time. Plus that free magazine subscription is a scam. They do that to reel you in then start charging your card after a short promotional period and don’t stop. When a customer says no do not keep trying to...
