Lots of stuff but prices are pretty high to me for a discount store. And not one worker stopped and asked me if I needed help yet they were all around me. They had lots of conversation amongst each other and the Boss wasn’t shy about giving direction loudly in front of all the customers even correction. I wouldn’t want to work there. She even went on a rant about some missing shirts and how she better get them because that’s a lot of money she’s losing out on. It wasn’t a good look. And if you shop clearance check your items carefully, they mark them down because they are DAMAGED in some way. Idk if I’m slow or what but I’m just figuring this out. In the old days it used to be slow moving items or over stock. Things are much different today. Then at checkout, my bill was pretty high but I was splurging today so after starting with a gift card the cashier asks me if I’d like to apply for a credit card which I thought sure why not. Then she says Oh sry we can’t do it because you’ve already started paying. You can do it next time. I’m pretty sure “there was a way” but she said sorry there’s “no way” we can do it now. So I just thought you know what? Maybe the universe is doing me a favor here and cashed out. I won’t be going back there. And I’m actually considering returning some of my items but I’m probably...
Read moreI shop at the Martinsburg TJ Maxx often and find the clerks and staff to be friendly, helpful, and patient. The clerks most likely are only paid minimum wage and I think they do a fantastic job dealing with the public and all the personalities they deal with every hour of every day. I sure hope that the person who wrote the review calling them 'unprofessional' can find it in her soul to be more forgiving and kind the next time there is a mix up or misunderstanding with a clerk. It's not like retail therapy is a matter of life and death. It's a privilege to be able to spend money on things we want. I love TJ Maxx and have never had a bad experience...
Read moreThis TJ Maxx has always been one of my favorite places to shop at in the comms. Always pleased to find what I need although, the customer service lacks. The people who were helping me were very rude and huffing in annoyance. It really made me and my daughters uncomfortable. On our way out the door started beeping. I was walking out with another group of people and it could have been any of us that the door beeped for. But they specifically looked at us and they called us out to come back in to get our bags checked. We already felt uncomfortable but to then be racially discriminated in front of everyone made us feel even more uncomfortable. We totally understand how busy they were but there was no reason to treat their...
