Sit on down everyone, because I'm about to tell you a lovely story about this store and everything wrong with it.
All right, so first off, the store itself is a hot mess. The organization is terrible once you get past the first few aisles. The whole place makes no sense. There's one thing on one side, and then you have to search around the entire store to find the thing that goes with it. Not to mention that anything related to sewing is hidden in the overly large area for scrap-booking.
Not only is location an issue, but they seem to not care at all about where things disappear to or whether or not things are taken. In fact, they don't seem to care at all if things are stolen. There are little fake fruits missing from sets, open packages of materials, you name it. The one thing I've seen personally is the whole face paint kit deal. My fiance looked through all of them and there were things missing from every single one, and we had to settle on one without a certain color. (At least we didn't need that one.)
Oh and don't get me started on employees. Normal employees? They're fine. They're helpful, and they've somehow learned the misplaced organization. The management? Don't make me laugh! Those people are children. Absolute children. One in particular, the female one? Hahaha, that's hilarious. She's a child. She throws tantrums about having to do her job. She and one of the other older employees team up on the younger ones, particularly sales associates, and make them feel as bad as possible even though they've done nothing wrong. Oh yeah, that's a great way to treat people. Also, did I forget to mention that they exploit people's insecurities? Yeah, people with anxiety problems? Nope. They make them feel terrible.
Basically, if you go here, you won't find what you're looking for, and they probably don't even stock it. Also, if you need to see management, don't even bother trying to get ahold of them. Oh, and if you apply for a job, don't have insecurities at all because they'll treat you...
Read moreBefore Hobby Lobby, Michaels was my place to go for all crafting needs. Whenever I go I am able to find what I need, whether it be paint, holiday decor, canvases, etc. This location in particular is nice. I can get in and out quickly and they dont change their item locations so things are easy to find. I have never had any issues with the staff and their bathrooms are clean. Its not a large store but I think its a typical size for Michaels. I frequent Hobby Lobby more because I feel their yarn selection is better than Michaels. Michaels only has 1 isle front and back that is yarn and the isle is 1/2 the size of Hobby Lobbys and they have 3 isles. I also think in general Michaels needs a revamp of its design because you are underwhelmed when walking into a Michaels. It looks the same as its ever been, tan/white and red. I sort of went on a tangent but I do enjoy this...
Read moreThis store has taken a turn for the worse since they brought in self checkouts! The machines will prompt you to enter your membership, select your coupons, but then you still have to wait for a cashier to come and confirm them. That would be fine if there was more than one cashier with a line 10 people deep & multiple other self checkouts waiting for the same thing. Very disappointing because this was my go to craft store and I loved the people working there, but it seems they are being replaced with machines that aren't even making the jobs of the current workers any easier!
Sad to write this as my previous review was 5 star tons of praise for this store and people working there, but I had to delete that...
