Disappointing Experience

I recently visited Lululemon before Christmas to take advantage of my military discount. After selecting some items, I presented my military ID to the receptionist for a discount. However, the employee informed me that I needed to verify my ID on the website before I could complete my purchase. I explained that I had already shown my ID and asked if I could make the purchase today and verify later, but she insisted that I could not.

Thinking this was standard policy, or she was tired of the busy holiday and I left the store. However, after discussing my experience with friends, I learned that it is typically possible to make the purchase first and verify later.

Today, 02/14/2025 at 7:02 pm (time on my receipt), I returned to the store with my military discount already verified through ID.me. To my surprise, the same employee (a white girl with blonde hair) required me to show my ID again. I felt disrespected by her approach, and it was disheartening to experience this lack of understanding and flexibility. I hope that happened not because I’m Asia.

I believe it's important for all customers to feel valued and respected, especially those who serve in the military. I hope that Lululemon can improve its customer service training to ensure a more positive experience for everyone.

I had a terrible experience shopping at the Lululemon outlet. Nowhere in the store or at the time of purchase was it made clear that items from this location are final sale with no option for return or exchange. It’s incredibly frustrating to find out after the fact, especially when buying gifts.

To make matters worse, the staff seemed poorly trained and unhelpful. When I tried to ask for clarification, they offered no solution and barely seemed to care. It’s clear that customer service is not a priority here.
