Two stars because the lights were pretty, but we definitely regretted making the trip. We went to visit the ice skating rink, which is set up and run by Blue Line Sports. The rink is very small and the sound system consists of two bluetooth speakers currently on sale at Costco. The skates they rent out had no laces so impossible to properly tighten them, and the ice itself was super rough, making the kids fall down all the time. The "vendor tent" was almost empty with many trailers shuttered despite it being a weekend, but the worst part was the intentionally misleading pricing information on the web site and out in front of the ice rink. The pricing clearly states that children are supposed to be $15 on weekends and adults $18, which is already very overpriced for what you get, but when I reviewed our receipt later that night I realized they charges me $18 and $21. When I asked the employee, they just shrugged and said it was a "service fee". There is no documentation anywhere of this "service fee" and service fees, by definition, are usually on the whole ticket, not each item of the ticket. Much less, despite the pressure to TIP while paying, there actually is NO service outside of the cash register. One might argue a guy has to ask your shoe size and hand those out but 2 of our members had their own skates anyway (not that it reduced the price one penny). An absolute rip off from a company that DID NOT CARE AT ALL about the experience. You are much better off visiting a local ice rink that doesn't close up shop like a travelling snake oil salesman once the...
Read moreI would give zero if I could. We bought 3 General Admission tickets and a blanket to sit on. I have been to many concerts in the past here. We were told we could not sit on a blanket first and then a little bit later we were told we had to stand up and could not sit down. It was a new rule. We were also told that it stated this on our tickets. I showed him my ticket that said nothing about Standing Room Only. Then because they were afraid of a riot because of all the mad people they came back and said that just this one time we could stand up, but never again. Then throughout the whole concert we had very loud fireworks going off. I will never be back. I think we are all owed an apology for the way we were treated just because we bought the cheaper General Admission tickets. I will just go to the White River Amphitheater from now on. They even provide chairs to sit on if you don't want to bring them. They don't treat the people that buy the cheap seats any different than the ones that buy the...
Read moreI liked the Ampitheater. It was small but that is part of the reason it was enjoyable. All seats are in a close distance to the stage, and you are comfortable standing if you choose. The sound was great. I was surprised it was just behind the casino. I suppose I was expecting more of a terraced venue, but, as I said, the seats were all good. There was a small amount of food sold and beer and mixed drinks. I think it was $15 for the mixed drinks, which there was a choice of about 5. Mia Tia, margarita, etc. Kinda of pricey for the size but no shortage of booze. I really enjoyed the venue and would go back again. There were chairs there for assigned seating. You can't take in bottl3d waters and I'm not sure about food. They do a light search of your purse or bag, but nothing too extreme. You could probably ly get by without being checked. The atmosphere was pleasant...
