I really don’t like leaving bad reviews and the staff here seemed so wonderful and accommodating for the most part so I feel extra bad.. two weeks ago my fiance and I took a trip to Gatlinburg (we live in Michigan) and got engaged. Unfortunately the ring didn’t fit, it was just barely a size too small. I could get it on my finger but it was extremely tight and I didn’t want to not be able to take it off. I had already known my ring size prior, so I started calling around to see if someone could size it while we were there. I was very excited and am also a photographer so I was thinking of the photos and wanted the mountains in the background to announce it to our friends and family… (which was very significant to our story of being together, so it was important to me).. maybe that was my fault. I understand that. The only place that could size it and have it done in a day was this place, which is an hour away from our hotel. We decided just to do it, even tho it would take up half the day of our vacation. Again my fault. They were very timely and even accommodated that we would be leaving for Michigan the next day and promised they would have it done, which I greatly appreciate. However, leaving 3 stars because when we got there, they sized my ring finger even after I told them what size I already knew I was and told me my ring size was actually a half size up. I tried to explain we were on vacation and eating a lot of sugar makes my hands swell. They said it wouldn’t swell a whole half a size bigger, and they are professionals, not me, so I believed them. They also said that a piece on my ring was “sharp” and they needed to fix it because they don’t want me to loose my diamond. Obviously I agreed to that too because I definitely didn’t want that. I also had noticed that particular spot he said had been catching fuzz on my clothes so it made sense and he said that is why it is doing that. We paid over $300 for them to size it up two sizes, and fix that part. I believe it was closer to $400 but I could be wrong. Fast forward to two weeks later, the ring is huge on me and has actually fallen off once, and the piece that they “fixed” is still catching fuzz on everything. I don’t know if they even fixed it, and if they did it made no difference at all. I don’t know.. I do know I now have to pay more money to size down, and get that fixed. And, I realize this is my fault, but now we are back in Michigan and I can’t take it back to this place. Which they knew. They were very nice to me in the store and timely which I appreciate but I feel kind of taken advantage of because we paid that money with no questions and feel like we were manipulated into paying a lot more then we should have and now we have to pay even more money. Unfortunately planning a wedding is not cheap and it makes me very sad that we now have to do this. This place has a lot of amazing reviews so I’m really disappointed this happened. Maybe it was a misunderstanding, I don’t know. But I feel very manipulated especially since other places quoted me around $65-$90 for a size and a half up, but didn’t have a jeweler on site that particular day. Every other place I called had no problem giving me that price over the phone but this place wouldn’t even give me a ball park. They explained there’s different variables and they added gold to it instead of stretching it so that wouldn’t have been an issue I would have understood besides the fact now I am realizing they knew we were from another state, leaving the next day, and also would have had to drive an hour away to even get to their store and probably wouldn’t turn around when we heard the price. I’m not sure what happened here, but I’m very disappointed I have to do more damage to my ring and get it sized down. DO NOT RECOMMEND THEY CAN’T MAKE A RING CORRECTLY AND COMPLAIN ABOUT FIXING IT FOR FREE WHEN YOU PAID FOR THE RING AND ITS NOT RIGHT AND WHEN THE MISTAKE IS ON THEM AND ALSO COMPLAIN ABOUT WHAT THEY OFFER YOU AND ARE OKAY WITH IT AND ITS STILL NOT RIGHT. I came into the store to let you know how appreciative i was and how much i loved the shape of the ring, I wanted a quote to get a bigger diamond and Jessica told me it would be $1000 and all i said was “ really with all the trouble I’ve been through with my rings “ and before i could even get another word out you absolutely went off which was very uncalled for and very unprofessional and disrespectful. I wasn’t expecting it to be free but i also wasn’t expecting to pay $1000 more after all the trouble you all have put me through with these rings. 1. Hidden halo diamonds kept coming out so i came in the first time to get them replaced and then not even a week later the same hidden halo diamond came out and 2 more with that one. 2. I called when they came out again and i brought it up there and i just wanted to get the hidden halo removed, that way i wouldn’t have to keep going to get them replaced every week, i wanted to see what it would look like without the hidden halo before i made my decision and i liked the white gold better with emerald cut and you agreed that it was okay to switch the ring, AND AFTER THAT guess what it’s still not right my ring mount was not yellow gold nor white gold it was GREEN and DULL. So i called before hand and texted you on facebook and you all told me to bring it in and “ that didn’t make any sense at all because it had a brand new mount “ which obviously it did NOT, and not only that when i tried to call the store to make sure when the lady named Jessica would be in because the lady on the phone told me to come in when Jessica would be in since she’s dealt with her with the previous mess ups you all wouldn’t even ANSWER THE PHONE. That’s sorry, especially since my Fiancé spent so much money on the ring. When i came in to show you, you told her once again it’s on a brand new mount so this just doesn’t make any sense you went and compared it to another white gold ring and it DID NOT match. So you showed me another ring which was bigger and was emerald cut and offered it to me and i didn’t like it in the emerald cut that big that you offered and also wanted to go back to yellow gold because i was hesitant to stay with white gold since the white gold you all use looks green, i definitely didn’t want that either, so to be fair YOU offered the oval cut that was bigger than my original ring and i loved the cut and the ring all in all and wanted to upgrade the size and was coming in for an estimate and Jessica absolutely lost it. After all of that I just asked for a refund and I would take my business elsewhere and Jessica told me “ No “ “ Absolutely Not because it’s been 30 days since purchase “ WHEN I HAVEN’T EVEN GOT TO WHERE MY RING FOR 30 DAYS DUE TO MESS UPS ON YOU ALL!!! I haven’t even mentioned the oval cut you all offered me that I agreed on is also CROOKED IN THE MOUNT. I cannot praise the owner, Alex and Jessica the sales associate enough for everything they did for me and my fiance! They treated us with the utmost respect, kindness, compassion and caring like no other! We were looking for a bridal set and a wedding ring for my Fiance. I found my dream ring on an FB post on market place. Jessica and I talked for a couple of days via messenger. I found the ring I absolutely HAD to have! She was so attentive to my wants and needs that I made the plan to go and visit her and see the ring in person even though they were 2 and a half hours away from me. IT WAS WORTH THE DRIVE!!! OMG! The ring was BREATHTAKING!!! Four carats of stunning beauty! They had my ring sized right in their store while Fiance and I went to eat lunch. When we came back, the rings were the perfect size! The pictures I posted do my ring absolutely no justice! If you are looking for wedding rings, bridal sets, cocktail rings, or just a little "treating myself" piece of jewelry, I beg you to please try Treasure's Jewlers IMMEDIATELY.
