Went to Cancun for lunch because we got a gift certificate for Christmas. Immediately upon entering you get a feeling of how dated the atmosphere is inside. The booths vinyl was all cracked up and full of holes. The table was banged up as well. We started out with really bad chips and salsa. The salsa was really flavorless tomato juice and cilantro. I ordered a combo meal with beans and rice. The beef enchilada was just bland ground beef in a shell. The red sauce covering it was no doubt just a canned Old El Paso type sauce. I also got a chicken taco that was equally bad. The chicken was tough and very dry. The beans were bland and not really warm when served. If there was a positive aspect to the lunch it was the rice. It was cooked well and the most edible thing on the plate. My girl got a chicken burrito with beans and rice and didn't care for her meal as well. She asked for no red sauce and it was covered in it. She ate very little of her meal. I couldn't get her to go back here if I tried. This place needs Gordon Ramsey to do a Kitchen Nightmares redo on this place. I can't reccomend this place and I won't be going back. Glad I had a gift certificate and didn't pay full price.

Food is always good as is the service. Cups used for water and sodas are massive so it cuts the need for the staff to monitor for refills heavily. Proper precautions were taken during COVID with all staff wearing masks and gloves. Prices are very reasonable and lunch for 2 can cost as low as $15 depending on what is ordered. It's my go to Mexican restaurant when I'm home and will continue to eat there when I have the time and extra cash. Steak Monterrey is my recommendation and it's very delicious. FYI: due to the beef shortage in the area from COVID, steak dishes have had a price increase of $2.10. It'll show up as an open food item on the reciept and there is signage on both entrances letting you know of the price increase

This restaurant has been here I believe about 30 years. You can say it has stood the test of time. It has remained a great Mexican restaurant and well visited in spite of tons of other restaurants in the area. My friend and I went for lunch and had the Pollo Feliz. Yummy!! Loaded with cheese and grilled chicken. Juan, our waiter, treated us like queens. He was on task with everything we needed/wanted. Located in the back of Foothills Mall. Can enter from inside the mall or outside. Outdoor patio dining available. Easy to see from Hwy 129. Lots of parking. Highly recommended.

I have been to a lot of different restaurants in this area. Some were great others not so much. This place is by far the worst of them all. I have never in all my life had this bad of service. I could have got better service from a blind trained Dalmatian. First of all the individual that was our server didn't show up for about 25 mins. Secondly when he did show up and we gave him our order he argued with my wife that she should eat something else. On top of that he brought myself and my friend the wrong drinks and someone else's cheese sauce. You would think that would have been the end but just like an infomercial, there's more. Once he brought our drinks he tossed them and the chip basket on the table like he was throwing a frisbee. I do commend him on his skills for not dowsing everyone at the table with our drinks, so yeah there's a plus. He then finally brought the food, after another 30 minutes, cold mind you. The other good thing about this entire experience was we didn't have to deal with him for a majority of the hour and 15 minutes we were there. Probably because this guy ghosted us for most the time we were there. To beat it all we had to go get our check because you know, he had much more pressing things to do I guess. I would recommend going to Las Margaritas on the other side of town. They are super nice there and the food is absolutely amazing. If you are in a pinch on this side of town and just need to eat at a Mexican restaurant...Taco Bell is literally a minute down the road, go...

It was our second time at this restaurant. I have to say first off, the server we had, really needs to do something about his breath. It was so very bad. To have someone waiting your table and you can smell their breath, it needs to be addressed. I'm sure I wasn't the first to notice and anyone that worked with him would know this also. The food was plentiful but it was very bland and didn't taste that great. The rice tasted old, leftovers maybe and the ground beef in the burrito was very overcooked and greasy. Only thing I liked was the lettuce and sour cream really. The salsa also which you get when you sit down with chips was tasteless. Just some tomato sauce with a little cilantro and a little chopped onions. My homemade salsa is so much better. Chips were greasy. My husband also had similar meal but with beef and we both took most of our food home. He ate some of his later in the evening. I threw mine out. I shouldn't have bothered to bring it home. I was thinking maybe my husband would eat it but he didn't want it either. Our waiter also seemed to spend a lot of time standing around and talking. We waited often for him. I did note, the restaurant appeared very clean, which is important. We probably won't be back for a third time. Adios Cancun restaurant in...
