Do you like pin bones in your salmon? Are you looking for a place that has old , tasteless, sketch looking Tuna? Have you ever had a really bad salad and wondered if there could possibly be a worse one somewhere else? Does picking up silverware and feeling grime encase your hand excite you? Come on down to Sakura in Maryville TN. Well yesterday my girlfriend suggested we give it a try, and that was the beginning of the nightmare. Eventually we get an order of 3 rolls for $15-16 (on paper, and in that moment it seemed like the world's best deal), and then my gf got a specialty Tuna roll that was about $12. My Alaska roll had pin bones in 3 out of the 4 pieces I tried. After biting into two in the first, I figured there couldn't possibly be any in the rest. Well I was wrong, and then the third one was fine, and then I was wrong again. The tuna was not good. The salad was just iceberg lettuce with some dressing that had an off taste, maybe it just wasn't for me. It was free so I'm not upset about the salad, I do wish I saw a review about it beforehand so I could politely decline it. The roll to the right of my plate was okay, but after everything else I just didn't have an urge to eat. I was asked 3 times if I'd like a box. I said no I won't be eating it. I had pushed the plate away and was clearly upset by it. No question on how is it, is everything okay, pin bones were visible. It's not even like it was crowded and they were short staffed. Neither of the two employees (host and several) were friendly, or did anything to make it a positive experience. I entered hungry, left hungrier, and about an hour later (around 12:30pm) my stomach was upset for the rest of the day, and I felt generally unwell and had no appetite for dinner. On the bright side I only wasted $33 and an hour or less of mine and my girlfriends time. Life could be much worse, a dining experience probably couldn't be. As is stands I won't be going back, and I won't ever suggest it to anyone (even my mortal enemies and arch nemesis). My girlfriends roll was mediocre, the sauce on top didn't seem like a good match for the roll, but the roll looked nice and there wasn't anything wrong. 5/10 I don't feel great writing this, as this is only the 3rd unpleasant review I have ever left. It was also the third time I didn't tip, as the service was rude and 2/3 of my food wasn't edible. I would have left $8-10 if they were: remotely pleasant, asked how the food was, apologized for all the pin bones, or just literally the smallest amount of effort conceivable. Oh well. Score breakdown: Food: 1/5 reasoning was it wasn't edible Service: 2/5 while it wasn't good, we did receive both food and water that we had politely requested Atmosphere: 3/5 reasoning, I just wanted the numbers to increase by one aesthetically, more accurately it would score a two. Very cramped, didn't exude a vibe of cleanliness, felt unwelcome, and eventually miserable

Seen this place and decided to try it Sunday night. It's a neat little restaurant with a very friendly staff. I got chicken & shrimp teriyaki which was fantastic. It had mushrooms, broccoli, onions and squash. An excellent teriyaki sauce and cooked to perfection. I got low mien noodles that were also very good. The yum yum sauce provided was outstanding. I got an order of the best crab rangoons I've eaten in Maryville. Rich creamy cheese slightly sweet with delicate crab in awesome wanton deep fried. Even the house salad had a very unique flavorful dressing. It was an excellent take out dining experience. Well packaged and prepared promptly. I highly recommend a visit to Sakura. I'll be going back for sushi next.

DO NOT GO HERE. While the wait staff is friendly, the manager is trash, as is the quality of customer service enforced. There were multiple hairs... HAIRS in my $70 order. When I called, they said the ONLY way they'd consider a refund is if I drove 45 mins back up to them, and then 45 mins back home. No other way they'd refund me even partial, and wouldn't reimburse for the gas I'd use driving an HOUR AND A HALF out of my way. I will not eat anything from here, neither should you. Unless eating hair served by a troll of a manager is what you're into. Absolutely disgusting establishment.

I don’t get sushi often as I have a seaweed and cucumber allergy but every place I have gone has a substitution or can take it off, me and my friend went here thinking it’d be like that as well the young woman at the counter was extremely nice and this is not about her but about the older woman who was EXTREMELY rude to me and my friend telling us she couldn’t or just wouldn’t take these things off while the young woman is explaining they can do a soy wrap instead of the seaweed and recommended me a sushi roll i absolutely loved if I didn’t have manners unlike the older woman raising her voice and speaking down to me as for some reason MY ALLERGIES where an issue for her I probably would’ve raised my voice back but you just don’t do that someone needs to sit down with her and tell her she’s being a rude cook/waitress whatever let’s pray she doesn’t interact with customers often because if I want sushi again you bet everything I will go somewhere else, unfortunately she’s made me feel entirely unwelcome here and her actions unfortunately reflected badly on the entire establishment.I am unaware if they even took the care to separate or sanitize items before preparing my food as even tho it was good it gave me extremely sharp stomach pains as if I was still ingesting trace amounts of seaweed...

Small dining room, clean facilities. Waiter was a bit uninterested and aloof. The food: sushi rolls were well flavored and fresh ingredients. The gyoza were a tad overcooked and dry as a result. Very little portions of sauces available with food items, including the yum yum sauce. Most tables had empty bottles. Hibachi dishes were a bit on the small side portion wise. No carrots and very little vegetables other than onion and zucchini. The steak was near inedible as it was so tough and chewy. I think it was cut improperly. The scallops and chicken were good though. Rice portion was okay, but smaller than all the competitors in the area. Lastly, the Boba tea was flavorful but the glass it was served in was rather small for the large price. The prices are too inflated for the down sized portions, that is a factor in the low score. The smallest portions I have encountered for this style restaurant in the...
