Panda Express — Restaurant in Maryville

Update: 5/8/23 I am updating my one ⭐️ to five ⭐️ because they have really improved over the last six months about being open until the closing time posted online, making sure to keep the dining room open, and they don’t stop making food 1 hour before Closing which were the 3 things they struggled with after Covid ended. I also wanted to say that, my favorite associate is Logan because he’s always so accommodating and always ask if I would like them to make a Beijing beef even if it’s close to closing time. Normally they refuse to make anything if it’s an hour before close because they’re trying to sell whatever they have left which is understandable but some people don’t get off work until late and I just appreciate the fact that Logan never gets an attitude and he seems to truly enjoy his job or at least has some work ethic and professionalism, so I wanted to take this time to update my review and say keep up the good work as I love panda express.

I visit panda express at least three times a week because my daughter loves the chow mein noodles and entrées but it’s so hit or miss on when they are open for business and they never go by the time on Google. For instance tonight I get there at 8:45 and they are already closed but on Google it says they’re open till 930. If they would only update their hours of operation then people wouldn’t waste their time to leave their house to go and get dinner.

10/5/22 9:02 pm So I Thought I would give them another chance because on the Google it said they stayed open till 930 so I proceeded four to the drive-through when the attendant proceeded to tell me that they didn’t have any sides except brown rice and they only had two chicken options for entrées and so I was asking her to clarify what time they actually close comparable to what the website says. Food was terrible, service was terrible. Asked whether I had a mask when I walked into the store (I left it in my car on accident) before I was even greeted. I decided to go through the drive through since I was already in my car anyway. Placed my order, they asked if I wanted anything else on my order, which I declined. I was then asked if I wanted any other sides like egg rolls and wontons when I just told them no. As I pulled up, I was given a dirty look and an eye roll by the same lady that asked me about the mask. I pay, get my food, drive home. When I get my food, the chow mein is dry and only partially cooked. I let the masks slide there and then because I understand corporate doctrines. I tolerated the repeated attempts to upsell my order because they have to ask. I even tolerated the dirty look because I just wanted my food. But undercooked food was the final straw.

Called the store to complain. Told the store manager that masks aren’t legally required in Blount County, Tennessee, that they have no legal right to enforce it even if the masks were required by law, told them several times that I didn’t want to be upsold after I said no the first time, and told him that the food was undercooked. He told me that they have to abide by corporate directives and that they have the right to refuse service. Maybe if they spent more time actually making their food edible and less time harassing their customers, people would eat there. But I won’t give them...

I just came through Panda Express order two types of meat with my order I also ordered five fortune cookies got my receipt and was charged by fortune cookies get home only one fortune cookie I called the store a gentleman answered I explained to him I did not get my fortune cookies he said usually with a meal you only get one fortune cookies unless you order more which they can be purchased and I told him okay how do you know that they did not put my fortune cookies in here they wouldn't told whoever is taking the order is not telling the person at the windows taking your money and he said sir if you only got one fortune cookie then you didn't get charged the other four I said I got a receipt here showing that I got charged for the other four but I did not get my fortune cookies which has been a total of five and I asked him the question why did you assume that I did not get charged since they didn't put the other four in there when in fact is they did charge me why would you assume that and he couldn't explain that and he hung up on me there's other Panda buffets around I don't eat there all the time I do because my daughter likes it it's a shame that you trying to get something rectified and get it taken care of when there's someone that just hangs up on you I will not...
