Foodland Lahaina — Local services in Maui

Two times this week I went to buy some raw shrimp at the Seafood department and they didn't have any wrapped outside or in the showcase. What disturbed me was there was two guys working in the there and when I asked one of them they said look out there pointing to the outside case. I said there is no raw shrimp at all out there. He then opened the door to the Service case and noticed that the tray in the case was empty. He then turned to the other guy and said "no more shrimp in here". The other guy then said sorry only get frozen shrimp, we gotta thaw some out. I told them I'll thaw it out at home can I have some. They looked at each other and the guy in the back finally said after 2 minute "oh OK how much you want and left to get some. Half of the service case was empty and the out side self service case was empty. Atleast I got what I needed after a while. I really hate to have to drive to another store to get what I need but now Foodland Lahaina Seafood will be my last place for seafood. The rest of the store is great too bad. Gotta shop at two different store really...

I love Foodland Lahaina! They are simply the sweetest people, the guys that do the meet cutting and poke are wonderous....they can tell you all kinds of secrets of how to cook types of fish and meat, Brian is fab. The huge guy at the door Kione is the epitome of Aloha, he.looks VERY intimidating.....but is sweet as the fragrance of Plumeria. Be sure to say Aloha. The gals at the ck out lines, wow...to have to wear masks all day????!!! They are so sweet!! Yo Foodland!!!!!, pay them more money. They should be receiving hazardous duty pay, yes? This is a pandemic and they are essential workers???!!!! What's up guys!!!!.....so bone up Foodland! I'm an old guy, and this is a friendly place. They stay open and at risk, Foodland has the capital capacity to 'bone up' yes? Get with it...

This place have everything. They even have sushi bar which all fresh. I would said this is neat, organize and great customer service.

I wasn't paid attention that I was inline for 8 items or less, but the other cashier willing to open new line to assist me next instead told me to get in the other line. He even offer me membership which save me over $40. Really nice people. I would definitely coming back during mine 1 week...
