Island Spirit Yoga — Local services in Maui

I wanted to practice while in Lahaina on holiday. This was a great choice. I caught a $10 uber from the condo. I took Julie's 2/3 class and it was perfect. She gave precise cues and diverse poses that increased in difficulty for those of us that wanted to push further. I worked up a nice sweat. The room wasn't too hot although it was hot outside, the ceiling fans provided some relief. The studio is charming. All the other props you may need are available. I started going here about 2 years ago and I'm SO glad I did. I've tried several of the classes, all the instructors are fantastic. But my favorite teacher is Tenya. She is just amazing! If you are looking for a great Yoga studio check them out, whether you're a Yogi regular or its your first time. They are great about everyone going at their own speed and doing what they can. They take the time to show modifications for moves and offer individual help. All the instructors are friendly, obviously enjoy what they do, and really seem to care about their students. ...

The 9am Sunday gentle yoga class is a highlight of my week and a beautiful way to start my Sunday. Christy is a lovely, warmhearted and talented instructor/owner that has created a special place that is both peaceful and energizing. She makes everyone feel welcome.
