Everything about our experience at the Plantation Inn was PERFECT. The location is ideal since it's just off the Front Street with all the best bars and restaurants. You also avoid the disruptive noise and crowds of Front Street at night. The beautiful inn is completely quiet and private all the time, making it a truly relaxing escape. My husband and I were delighted to find our room decorated with a bottle of champagne and sweet note congratulating us on our marriage. Also, the food is outstanding. We tried every breakfast dish offered and they were all exceptional. Everything is super fresh and delicious. The staff couldn't be more friendly and accommodating. My husband and I both agree that we will only ever stay at Plantation Inn in Lahaina. It was our absolute favorite place we stayed the entire trip on the island (way better than the "Mahalo Rewards" style hotels a few miles north/south of Lahaina). It was incredibly easy to walk to Baby Beach or to day trip to Fleming Beach/the other spots up north. We saw much more of the island by exploring different beaches each day instead of being stuck at jumbo resort in one spot. To top it off, we just received a sweet holiday "Aloha" card in the mail from the inn six months after our stay. They think of every detail to make the trip unforgettable! Don't waste your time staying anywhere else. The Plantation Inn is...
Read moreThe room was spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable, though I would have preferred slightly firmer pillows. The bathroom was nice except that the hot water was very...enthusiastic and required constant fiddling so as to not scald oneself. My only other complaint for the room was that some of the windows didn't have shades due to the design and a security light shined in and made the room very bright. The whole area was quiet and peaceful, and my husband and I both enjoyed the fact that the hot tub and pool were 24-hours, however the pool towels were not, which led to us hoarding a couple for use. Breakfast was included but gratuity was not, same with the car rental, which, while understandable also led to us feeling slightly nickel-and-dimed. Breakfast was adequate but slightly underwhelming seeing as it came from the same restaurant that was previously named "the best french restaurant" on Maui. Housekeeping was fast and thorough. Wi-fi was present but barely usable due to distance from the router. I suggest a repeater be used so that guests can actually take advantage of it. We are definitely interested in...
Read moreMy husband and I stayed here for 3 nights during our honeymoon and really enjoyed our stay! We wanted an adults-only spot that was close to Front Street. The entire hotel is so charming, and the small size and location of it made for a very relaxing stay. Our bed in room 15 was very comfortable, and the room was very spacious. The hotel offers complimentary breakfast every morning, where you get to choose from a limited menu what dish you’d like - the food was decent and the coffee and juice were delicious! The service at the hotel was great, Lynette made us feel very welcome at check-in and the entire staff were friendly and considerate. I think this location can’t be beat, you’re a block from Front street, a few minutes walk from the harbor (for boat excursions), and there are tons of gem food spots nearby. We loved exploring the area, and it was relatively easy to drive to other parts of the island. If you’re looking to support local businesses and experience a relaxing stay apart from all the giant hotel chains you could stay at I highly recommend booking your stay at The...
