I recently dined at a Thai restaurant, and overall, it was a delightful culinary adventure. The combination of delectable dishes, including Crab Rangoon, Papaya Salad, and Green Curry with Chicken, along with a refreshing Thai Iced Tea, made for an excellent meal. However, there were a few areas where the restaurant could benefit from some updates.
Let's start with the food—the star of the show. The Crab Rangoon was simply outstanding. The crispy exterior gave way to a creamy and flavorful filling that perfectly balanced the flavors of the crab and cream cheese. It was truly a taste sensation. The Papaya Salad was another standout dish. The vibrant medley of fresh papaya, chili, lime, and peanuts created a symphony of sweet, sour, and spicy notes that left my taste buds tingling with delight. The Green Curry with Chicken was equally impressive. The tender chicken, bathed in a luscious green curry sauce bursting with aromatic herbs and spices, was a testament to the chef's expertise. Each bite transported me to the bustling streets of Thailand.
To complement my meal, I opted for a classic Thai Iced Tea, and it did not disappoint. The creamy, slightly sweet tea with hints of spice provided a refreshing and indulgent accompaniment to the rich and flavorful dishes.
While the food was undoubtedly the highlight of my dining experience, I couldn't help but notice that the restaurant could use some updating. The decor felt a bit outdated, and the ambiance didn't quite match the exquisite flavors that graced the plates. A modern and refreshed interior design could elevate the overall dining experience and create a more...
Read moreI can't say enough good things about this place. We went here for dinner around 6:15 pm, walked in the door and were immediately greeted and sat at a table by the window. The waitress was at our table within seconds and said she would grab our waters for us. We brought our own wine (no corkage fee) and didn't even have to ask for wine glasses- she was already on her way to go get them. After looking at the menu (my wife and I are vegan), I asked what the most popular vegan dishes were. She suggested the peanut curry so that's what I got and my wife got the red curry. Yes, they assured my wife that the red curry was vegan. We got the spring rolls for an appetizer and shared the sticky rice with our entrees. The waitress was very knowledgeable and attentive the whole time- refilling our waters frequently, asking how things were, etc. Now on to the food! The peanut curry was amazing and the spice was perfect. I got medium spice as I enjoy spicy food but don't want to be sweating and watery-eyed while eating a food I haven't tried before. It was delicious. My wife said that the red curry was also delicious. The environment is quaint and noise level wasn't bad at all, considering the size of the room. I highly recommend this place to anyone that wants a delicious Thai dish. We will...
Read moreLooking for a place with clear vegan options, we gave Thai Chef a try and are delighted that we did. It is a small restaurant, but we were seated promptly. Extensive menu, with last page fully vegan. Started with thai iced thai with perfect blend of tea and coconut milk. Ordered the best fried tofu that we had ever had. Its sliced into small pieces and has a perfect crispy texture. The dipping sauce is awesomely delicious. We also tried the veggie spring rolls and were kindly educated on the best way to eat them (wrapped in the lettuce with the other "garnishes"). It adds a flavor and texture that improves the already delicious rolls. My husband ordered the chicken pineapple rice, which he thought was very good. I had the pineapple red curry and sticky rice and it was wonderful. Medium spiciness gave a nice heat to compliment the sweet pineapple and good proportion of ingredients. I am glad that I have leftovers so that I can continue to enjoy this food. Service was great. The staff was attentive - never let our water glasses get empty - and extremely friendly. Overall it was a great experience and we look forward...
