Westside Bagel and Bakery — Restaurant in Hawaii

Photos won’t even do this place justice!! I’m not sure if it’s because it’s under new ownership now, but if you really wanna know what a bagel taste like because real bagels literally don’t exist anymore you have to come to westside bagel. I got a day old one and I pan fried it and it was literally heaven!! I got a Reuben sandwich and that to melted it in my mouth! The bread has the perfect amount of chewiness, crispiness (if you toast it) and softness. I was hesitant on the bake goods. Because nowadays everything is bought from Costco and nothings homemade but there were these little signs that said homemade on them. I asked the girl and she recommended the brownie… I bought the brownie and again heaven in my mouth!! The previous owners don’t have homemade baked goods… I’m really excited to see the future for Westside bagel!! I feel so grateful to have real bagels in my town. The best bagels in Lahaina area!! My husband I stopped by to grab a quick breakfast before heading to our tour and these bagels did not disappoint! We currently live in Japan and finding a good bagel place is rare so when visiting Hawaii we were stoked to find a bagel shop.

I ordered the plain bagel with cinnamon sugar cream cheese shmear and my hubs ordered the ham, egg, and cheese bagel. SO GOOD. The bagels were soft, chewy, and very fresh. Everything had great flavor. Their coffee was also excellent!

I’m super bummed that I won’t be able to get one on our way off the island tomorrow due to them not being open until 8am. Seriously my favorite breakfast spot here on Maui. If your local or visiting you definitely need to stop by and grab a bagel. Be sure to get there early as there was a line. Overall, awesome...

My wife and I found this place while looking for a quick bite to eat. It is relatively new and the owners are clearly doing a great job. The interior has a very comfortable design and the food and coffee are incredible. We are from the NY area so we know good bagels and Westside Bagel did not disappoint. The coffee might be the best we had in Hawaii which is saying a lot. The owners are extremely friendly and were willing to give us some helpful advice/recommendations on things to do while visiting....
