Island Power Yoga in Kihei, Maui, has been my sanctuary for the past 1.5 years, and I couldn't be more grateful for the transformative journey it has facilitated. From the moment I stepped into this serene space, I felt welcomed by the warmth of the instructors and the vibrant energy of the studio.

Extremely disappointed to have to warn everyone to stay clear of this place. They tried to rip me off for over $1200 of unused “membership” charges that I did not sign up for, authorize or use. I bought a promotional 1 time package of yoga for someone visiting Maui and without my authorization, Island Power Yoga then put that person on a monthly contract using my credit card without anyones knowledge. They also doubled the rate to almost $200/month! The person didn’t even live here and was not on island while Island Power Yoga was charging my credit card for 8 months for a membership that no one was using. I never signed a contract with them and had no idea this was even happening! When I contacted them and asked them to return my money they first tried to offer me 2 months of “free” yoga. After weeks of fighting with them they finally agreed to refund only 2 months of fees and then stopped relying to my emails altogether. I had to dispute the other 5 months of charges with my credit card company because Island Power Yoga refused to do the right thing. This is not how you run a business or treat local residents. Do not go here and always check your credit card statements...

I am so grateful and lucky to have Island Power Yoga in my neighborhood and community! This has to be one of the best heated yoga studio's on island. Offering a wide range of class styles, guided by some of Maui's top yoga teachers, my experience with Island Power Yoga has been consistently awesome. I particularly enjoy their special sound healing events and really appreciate how the studio gives back to the community in many ways including offering a free weekly out door class at The Shops of Wailea. The owner/founder of the studio, Chieko, is a dynamic, fun and motivating instructor. With her welcoming spirit and bountiful knowledge of yoga I would also highly recommend Island Power Yoga for anyone seeking reputable and thorough Yoga Teacher Trainings. Thanks again IPY....
