This restaurant is one of Kihei's hidden gems! I've been here for dinner before and had the carne asada wet burrito with the most amazing Verde sauce! Today we came for breakfast for the first time. The churro bites are out of this world! Made fresh when we ordered, sweet, crunchy on the outside and soft inside ..YUM! We shared huevos rancheros, which our server recommended, and it was soooo good!! Finished off with flan which was creamy and served with sliced strawberries, blueberries and whipped cream. If you're craving good Mexican food, good service and a nice atmosphere, come to this restaurant. You will not be disappointed!

Food was really bland, almost none of it had ANY salt. Really low quality ingredients, the tortillas were dry as well. The Drinks were good! Chips were cold, salsa and guac were tasteless. I had the Al Pastor Burrito, which was pretty decent. Came for the Birria Tacos (in the reviews), but wasn't on the menu? This place is not a 4.4. Don't waste your time. For this price, eat at Taco Bell. Which Mexican place charges more for salsa on the side? Bizarre.

La Poblana is a small place in the same building as Maui Clothing Company Outlet. It is a locals place since this is not a tourist area. But it is the real deal and quite good. My wife had the Chorizo Nachos and I had a Carne Asada Torta. We remember from our last stay in Maui in the 1990s when the locals told us there were no good Mexican places. That is no longer true, since La Poblana was quite good.

Where do I start? This place is the definition of disappointing. If you think you're getting a classic Mexican experience, think again.

First off, brace yourself for a ridiculous surprise: they charge for every tiny serving of chips and salsa, and they don’t bother to tell you upfront. Most places would consider this a basic courtesy, but here, apparently, it’s a money-grab. The portions are so small it's laughable, and it just sets the tone for a menu that's as bland as it is overpriced.

As for the food…well, calling it mediocre feels generous. Absolutely nothing worth coming back for. And the drinks? Don’t even waste your money — they’re as average as it gets. This place is a disappointment from start to finish, and honestly, the only reason it’s not a 1-star is because our waitress was genuinely nice.

In short, if you want to pay premium prices for low-tier food, be my guest. Otherwise, save yourself the frustration and go somewhere that actually values its customers and...

For a local restaurant, serving local families Today’s experience was very disappointing for my family. We try really hard to support local, but this place completely missed the mark today on service on food and on price.

My son‘s food was so bad he didn’t even eat it. . Our dessert came out raw and very under cooked. And out waitress didn’t even know if it had peanut butter or caramel on it. She also didn’t know how to make a Shirley Temple with grenadine.

With three staff members sitting in the corner chatting, we did not get proper service on water, drinks, chips or when our food was raw. I had to flag someone down to get drinks, order our food, and twice to ask for our bill.

Unfortunately, when I asked to speak to a manager to bring these things to her attention. She basically said there was nothing she could do.

The average price per person ended up being $35. Absolutely outrageous for tostadas and enchiladas. Our family...

I Have gone to this "authentic" Mexican restaurant a few time to give chance after chance and ever time the customer service is rude and tend to not check on any customer. The first time I went I had found a hair in my torta and I returned today for a retry.

the man had asked me twice do you want taco or tostada I replied with taco , he then ask for drinks and I said strawberry freska and he said okay fanta soda (not what I ordered or said)

My order had then arrived and was not at all what I had ordered. I waited for about 10 mins until the finally notice me staring at them. They ask what the problem was and I had said it was not taco I had ordered the man walked over and began laughing in my face saying he asked me and I never answered him....

I then said it's okay I don't want the food and left I would honestly never go there again due to their service and...
