Dollar General — Local services in Mayfield Heights

This store is never open when it supposed to be. There are multiple times I have pulled into the parking lot and walked up to the doors and the lights are off or other customers are walking back to their cars saying "No one is in there, they are closed" despite the hours on the door and Google saying they should be open. Dollar General is getting a bad reputation and this location definitely makes the brand look unprofessional. Last time I was here there was scuff marks every where on the floors in the aisle as if the floors have not been cleaned I'm weeks which is unacceptable considering this location has not been opened for 1 year yet. On one occasion shopping here the young man who was working shutdown all the self check lines because he said the store was having a lot of theft. Please stop leaving one employee in the store to work alone Dollar General, it's not fair to the worker nor does it create a positive shopping experience for customers if we have to wait in one long line for only 1 cashier. Please hire more workers

Quick Update* the store finally was open on 6/23/24 in the after but all 3 self check lines were still shutdown forcing all customers to go to the cashier for checkout. The cashier name was Caleb who took forever to ringout each customer as if she did not know how to operate a register. It's ridiculous for 3 customers with only 3 items each to wait in line for over 25 minutes for 1 cashier moving slower than a snail. Caleb does not need to be a cashier alone...

I usually don’t leave bad reviews, but this Dollar General has pushed me to leave this review. I would leave a 0 star review if I could. The store hours are posted, but they are never actually followed. I have been to this store during “normal business hours” 4 different times and they have been closed each time.
