This cozy spot has long been a hidden gem in the Cleveland/Mayfield area — and under its new management, it’s gone from great to absolutely unmissable. The addition of their Indo-Chinese menu has taken things to the next level. Think classic Chinese dishes with bold Indian and Nepali twists that make every bite deeply satisfying. Hands down, this is some of the best Chinese-fusion food you’ll ever taste.
Here are 5 must-try dishes — order these and thank me later:
🍲 Chicken Soup – Just trust me on this one. Comforting, flavorful, and the perfect way to start your meal.
🥟 Momo Jhol – Handmade dumplings in a rich, savory broth bursting with unreal flavor. It’s the ultimate comfort food — don’t forget to ask for the hot sauce!
🍜 Chow Mein – Their version of lo mein is refreshingly different: less soggy, no soy sauce, and packed with Indian spices. Unique, delicious, and perfectly portioned.
🍲 Thukpa Soup – A hearty Indian/Nepali twist on hot and sour soup, loaded with noodles and protein. It’s more like a full meal than a side.
🥟 Momo (Classic Dumplings) – Soft, flavorful, and absolutely addictive. A must-order every time.
🔥 Chilli Chicken with Garlic Naan – This combo is tremendous. The spicy, perfectly cooked chilli chicken pairs beautifully with soft, garlicky naan — and if you add a dollop of cool yogurt on the side, it becomes the ultimate comfort meal. This one will warm your soul all winter long!

Read moreVery tasty take-out Indian food at Kayal Indian Takeout. This is my first take-out order from here but not my last - I will be back. The food was prepared quickly. I ordered for two. We started with an order of Samosa - two per order. My entree was the Palak Paneer - cubes of cheese in creamy spinach and white rice - with medium spice level. Kayal Indian offers three spice levels. No spice, medium spice or hot. The medium spice level does not burn your mouth or lips but does add a depth of flavor to the dish. My wife ordered an entree of vegetable Biriyani - fried rice with veggies - with medium spice level. Both entrees were large portions and satisfying. I finished my Palak Paneer in one sitting. I could easily of made two meals of it. My wife made two meals from her Vegetable Biriyani. My Palak Paneer comes with two segments of plain Naan. Naan is an Indian flat bread. In addition, we ordered two orders of garlic Naan. Two segments for each of us. The meals came with two small containers of different dipping sauces. We would of enjoyed bigger containers of the dipping sauces. We used the dipping sauces for the Samosas. I used them on my plain Naan as long as they lasted. The order also came with a larger container of a thin yogurt with onion and dill - a nice soothing, cool flavored condiment. We, also, ordered a Mango Lassi for each of us. A Mango flavored thin yogurt beverage. Very refreshing, tasty beverage. We really enjoyed our meals and...
Read moreP.K. Curry house is one of those incredibly rare and special places where the owners put real heart and spirit into their work, and treat the customers with love and kindness. I wish there were more words to say how happy getting to go here makes me.
It's a small place, and it has no "upscale class" or "ambience". It's not that kind of place. This is the kind of place where you share space with the storage while waiting for your order, where the cooler is stocked with cans, and the menu is up on the wall. The whole place always smells delicious at all times.
I ordered food from here for the first time last month, on my birthday! The curry was flavorful and fresh, the samosas were fried perfectly, and the owners gave us a few extra treats to try - experimental new menu items -A stuffed pepper and a croquette of some kind! They were both so tasty and I felt so special on my birthday.
We went back today - it's Diwali, so the owner shared some fried dough rings with us - I learned they were called sel roti, a Nepalese rice dough sweet given to celebrate holidays! Thank you for the gift!
What a treat today has turned out to be. If you want a local place that will greet you kindly, with really well-prepared simple takeout dishes, you can't beat P.K....
