Brought in a pin to be made into a necklace and the results were not what I expected. I accept all blame because I did not make sure that what I believed to be the agreed upon path forward with the piece was mutually understood, agreed to and captured in writing. Caveat emptor here to make sure there is mutual, written agreement about the exact work to be completed. The unfortunate part was that when I did question what was done, as compared to what I believed was previously agreed to, and did so in a very calm and professional way, I was treated with disrespect and consternation by the son. Without even talking about my concerns, he rudely said that he would just remove the work they did and that I that could take the piece and leave. He went from 0 to 100 in about 4 seconds. After questioning his approach, he kind of calmed down and did clarify that he was having a bad day and had dealt with many complaining customers that had come in before me. That statement alone should be a warning sign. The son never apologized for his behavior, but the dad did take the piece and at least made some cosmetic updates to it while I was there. Would I go back, probably not. To reiterate - make sure everything you want done is clearly understood, and agreed to in writing when dealing with this father...

Simply amazing and outstanding work on a gold cameo ring that was crushed flat and left for scrap for over 15 years. The ring is a family heirloom and it was thought to be unfixable. I brought the ring in and after looking at I was told, “we will see what we can do.” When I got the call the ring was ready and I went into pick it up I could not believe how incredible the work was. It was as I remembered it before it was crushed. The care given to my Dad’s ring and genuine joy taken in calling me and presenting the resurrected ring was truly heart warming. Cannot recommend this jeweler enough! I brought my engagement ring in to have the setting checked after being told my setting/diamond was crooked. Goddard Goldsmith welcomed me in 10 minutes before closing & did a thorough check of my setting & even a few adjustments to ensure it was safe. They refused payment & couldn’t have been nicer.
