Update 10/10/23 I just wanted to update my review to say we went back to McFarland’s yesterday. We had been talking to Wade Terry, and Emily Francia about an Acadia. We were unsure what we wanted to do but knew we had to do something soon. Wade instantly greeted us outside with a handshake. He has a great, friendly demeanor and knows a lot about the vehicles. It didn’t matter which vehicle he was very knowledgeable. He was also very patient with me, my husband and our little 7 year old son. In addition to his friendly personality, he is relatable and easy to talk to. They helped us get the car we wanted and as close to possible to the price we wanted. I’d recommend them, and especially Wade if you are in the shop for a car. We love our Acadia!
We were contacted through text, which was a nice way to communicate without being hassled on the phone. We arrived and were welcomed with signs and balloons on two vehicles that we were interested in that our sales rep, Justin had known prior to arrival. Justin greeted us, and we were immediately asked if we wanted to take the cars on a test drive. We loved both of the Buick Envisions and decided to talk numbers. Jeff is who we dealt with for financial guidance. He was great to work with. He made it easy and we told him what we could afford at max, and he got the monthly payment $20 less. Justin was easy to talk to and made us comfortable, but is new to McFarland and unsure of Buick and I am still trying to figure out the bells and whistles and all the things that my new car features. At previous dealerships, they sat in the car with me after paperwork was documented, they connected my phone to Bluetooth, had me download the apps, helped me find the odometer, and other features in the car, which honestly really helps. But over all, my experience was great, and we were super impressed with Jeff and how easy he made the financial process. We absolutely love the vehicle, and I feel that both Justin and Jeff did a good job dealing with the difficulties of Covid, and aiding us...
Read moreIf I could select 0 stars, I would. I live in Alexandria,VA, 22309. I was very interested in a used 2015 Ford F250 listed online by McFarland Chevrolet Buick, Inc. which is 505 miles away from my home. I called to inquire about the vehicle which was advertised as having a clean Carfax, which it did as I paid the $39.00 to see it myself. After 2 days worth of phone calls with the salesman, I agreed on a price I was happy with. Saturday morning at 12am, I departed for my 500 mile journey to pick up the truck. I arrived at the dealership at 930am. As I parked in front of the dealership, I saw the truck in the rear of the building being detailed. Quickly met the sales person face to face for the first time. He had the truck pulled around to the front. After one walk around the truck, it was obvious the truck had prior body damage to both rear quarter panels that had been poorly repaired. There were obvious drip marks from paint on both sides and overspray from the clear coat - clearly not a factory paint job. It was so bad a visually impaired person would of noticed it! This was obviously a complete shock to the salesman and management. Apparently they had not noticed the repaired damage and therefore didn't inform me about it before I left for the 500 mile journey to buy the truck. I did offer to buy the truck at a lower price knowing that I would have to pay out of pocket to have the prior repair fixed correctly by a professional body shop by my home, since I know they weren't going to fix it. My offer was refused by the sales manager who's name I'm not even sure of as he NEVER ONCE introduced himself to me after my 9 1/2 hour drive, or even spoke to me about why he wouldn't negotiate on the price in light of the shoddy repair work. Needless to say, I left KY in the same vehicle I arrived in. BUYER BEWARE when dealing with McFarland...
Read moreI wanted to drive 6 hours from Huntsville, AL to purchase a used Chevy Volt at this dealership. I was pretty much guaranteed going to buy it. This Volt had been sitting there for ten months and had been auctioned twice by other dealerships so you'd think they'd be eager to get rid of it. I wanted to do my negotiating over the phone before driving 12 hours in one day. I had to deal with a guy named Jason who was just about the worst salesman I've ever dealt with. He was very rude from the start, would send me boilerplate emails saying to "call ASAP" but not answer his phone, would not return messages until 3+ hours later after my husband started his work shift and couldn't answer, etc. On the night before I was going to drive up, I called him to see if they would come down at all on price. I honestly would have paid the full price they already quoted, but was looking for at least some sort of customer service skills. Not only was Jason crazy rude, but he had the nerve to call me "honey" in about the most condescending way possible ("Look HONEY, this car is blah blah blah"). He gave me the number of his boss, Caleb (used car manager and son of the owner). I immediately called and left a voicemail and no one called back. I ended up buying a car for $4,000 MORE (but with much less mileage and more options) at the dealership in Paris, KY instead where they were much kinder. Jason messed up a shoe-in sale and didn't even care. He even called me the next day and made up a lie about someone coming down from Indiana to buy the car for $22K but they wanted to give me a chance to buy it at $21K first.Instead of trying to create a false sense of demand, how about just treating me with respect and you would have sold that car. I'm loving my new Volt from...
